“The Manster” was really good. I wasn’t crazy about the ending it really didn’t fit in with the rest. But nice job overall.
Don’t mind me, I’m just bumping my thread.
Well, well, well. What do we have here? Your best song, you say? Alrighty, let’s see.
The intro was cool. Nothing spectacular, but cool nonetheless. That thing you did with the fades, damn that was awesome! After that, the song kinda chilled out. The melody work was pretty good. The drum work was good. But it wasn’t anything special. Still, I really liked it. But the ending…not so good. Finishing the song on measure 106 would’ve been a good way to end the piece. But you kinda stretched it out too much. It sounded weird.
4/5 and a Mr Green for that thing you did with the fades.
Oh and the Canon Rock sounded pretty good. There are still lots of mistakes in the guitar parts, though. Like sheet 9 and some other schtuff that I’m too lazy to point out.
I don’t like ending some songs. It’s too much work lol.
As amazing as fish’s song was, I expected a guitar solo to end the song (seemed like it was going that way) but instead I get… I don’t know what I got, all I know is that the ending was terrible. Great song though.
Believe it or not, I didn’t even think about ending it with a solo. Maybe I should go back and add one.
EDIT: I cahnged up the ending and added the solo that Roasy wanted. Let me know which one you like better.
Much better.
Much better, no choppy ending… and definitely reminds me of me too!
12/10
+2 for the epic New jerseyness. BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AIN’T GOT NOTHIN ON US.
Thanks guys.
NJ IS UNSTOPPABLE!
About Canon Rock, fish, sheet 22, in the background. Give sheet 22 a listen and you’ll find that the background metal guitar is in a completely different key and doesn’t go very well with the electric guitar.
Hi there. I’m just bumping my thread.
Is it wierd that I liked unnamed song better than DEATH BY LEM NS?
No. I like my unnamed song better than Death by Lemons too. It’s just that I can’t think of more to add to it, and instead of waiting 3 weeks to realease 2 songs (actually, it would be about 5 weeks), I decided to do it this way. A preview of things to come.
i liked unamed better too, though sheet zero could use some bass or srums, but not both
Finish Jordan already before I eat the children that you will never have.
I dont know fish, if i were you I’d do what he says, this sounds legit.
I lost that cover. I’m still working on my unnamed song. I put it off for about a month lol. And besides, I thought you hate covers Roast. And I don’t enjoy making them either.
Loved Canon Rock! It’s one of those songs that does everything right. Everyone knows that the most talented songwriters are all from a forgotten era coughs (1970), but Classical is one of my favorite genres. What you have done is taken a great artist, and mixed it with a modern songwriter and a modern song composer, which basically equals insane success! I mean, look. The happy Metal Guitar in sheet 2 is amazing, never thought anyone could do that. Solo was amazing. And the end was the first time I’ve heard someone try to play two different keys at the same time, which was pretty awesome. Rock on!
I love how you love the song (and how you thought I wrote it) but I have bad news. I didn’t write it. I wish I did, then I would have millions of people just like you thinking that when they first hear the song. I felt that same way too. The real artist is Jerry C (I’m not sure what his last name is, I just know it starts with a C lol). But this does mean one thing. If someone thought I wrote a real song…SCRATCH THAT… a real and good song (lots of “real music” in today’s society is garbage) then I must be a fairly talented songwriter here on Notessimo. And what you said about the forgotten era is totally true. There was some greatness in the recent times, but I’m sure we both feel the same when I say “Classic Rock= (an orgasm of the ears lol).”
And I have an anouncement to make. I HAVE WRITTEN A SONG AGAIN! Actually, I wrote two. I planned to have them together, but the greater of the two would have been brought down severely (sp?) by the first one. An Odd Song was the first major part and is the finished product of the unnamed sample. Unfortunately, it does not live up to it’s expectations. It’s a fairly decent song of mine, but some parts are weird. My next song, Gone Forever, is a lot better than most/all of An Odd Song. It’s got to be one of my better songs. It’s very different than my other pieces, but it’s also the same.
I used the same file for both of the songs. If you look at any sheet with music on it on any of the two, it’s the same as it is on the other song. COMMENTS PLOX!
An Odd song- Scared the crap out of me
Gone forever- I APPROVE. It reminded me of… YOU
