Ok. I added DC and RockBand to my friend list yesterday, assuming they’d be from here. Just to make sure, I asked.
Well anyway, I actually got someone in the Legendary Showdown with me. We played Canon Rock and he won. 205K to 183K. We both had a keyboard (I think we’d be better with guitar) We tried to play Man of Faith by Solar Fragment, but he “bailed.” I’m pretty sure he quit, because you can’t fail in Showdowns/Duels.
The guitar is actually pretty difficult to play with when pretty fast notes come up. The strum bar doesn’t seem to register when there’s a crapload.

Yeah, you can only strum one direction. If you strum both on fast notes, it has to register the new direction before you can use it.
I had the enter key set to both strums (up and down), I think I’m gonna try putting enter on one, then shift on the other. Think it’ll help?
Enter and shift both register as strums on my computer. So when I played Man of Faith, I alternately hit them for the fast passages.

It only took 2 weeks to process my aplication…
I tried, but the silly Jam Legend tracker test doesn’t like me. Did you do that too?
The test? Yeah. Here is the first paragraph of the email I got from Ryan (the rest just explains how being a tracker works):
Did you actually do a good job on the test or did you put random notes? I tried doing a good job, but I can’t find the BPM for the beginning w/o drums.
I actually tried. A bpm of 149.75 worked for the entire song for me. That is, as long as it is the same song.
yeah, I finished it not too long ago. I have the mixmeister BPM analyzer, and I tried it on that song, and it said 120. I kept trying to get it to work at 120, but it didn’t go too well. After fooling around with the BPM, I tried 150, and everything worked perfectly. It works for the whole song, just like you said. And, yes it is the same song.
150 seemed to be a little fast at the end for me so I slowed it down 1/4 a beat and it worked great.
I just submitted the sample to Jam Legend. It took a few minutes for me to convert it to a MIDI file, but I did it.

Yay! I’m a tracker (finally)
Jan, did you install that one thing? The Guitar.swf file? I can’t do it. I’m following the instrucyions. I even installed the latest version of Macromedia/Adobe Flash player. Yes, I clicked on the right symbol to download from. If you can help me, that’d be great, but if not, it’s not that much of a loss.
I don’t think I can help right now. I have never tried it before.
