Either some other site is doing a good job of advertising Notessimo, or a bunch of people stumbled upon it all at one time…

I’m still a bit skeptical, take a look here (make sure it’s the monthly view). That is a definite outlier spike like the one from StumbleUpon in June. You can see the graph slowly falling back to pre-Veteran’s Day levels. However, residual effects are much slower to disappear, and I’ve noticed a higher average reach for the site, which is quite possible due mainly to the CC. Still, the best sustained draw I think we could get would be from some incarnation of Notessimo 2 being released on Newgrounds/Kongregate/ Armor Games.
Ah, that’s interesting, but how do I know that is notessimo.net? From what I know, notessimo.net had a max of 60 users on the 11th which is currently the highest the website has recorded as seen in the picture below:
Now how can the max, as stated by whos.among.us, be 59 on the 12th? And only 56 on the 11th? As you can see from the picture (which is clearly from the website), there were more than 56 people on notessimo.net on November 11. Either this graph has wrong data, the graph is for another website, or there is something I am missing.
Well, besides the fact of the graph and the actual counter on notessimo.net not being aligned, I have no idea why the number of people spiked. That is something I cannot figure out. Why were those people all on at the same time for only about 2 days? Could there have been an error with the counter on the website? Or did someone purposely boost the number of users on by opening 40 different windows all of notessimo.net? If so, why? I believe this is a mystery that will be left unsolved.
Hmm, yes the numbers don’t quite match up, but it may just depend on how (what interval perhaps) this website and the widget (data collector) track the reach. It definitely correlates to this site. I will refer back to the June Spike. We were all quite shocked to find 50+ (100 max) users on notessimo.net for about a day. Starburst did some research and found that they all came from StumbleUpon.com (this conversation probably took place just one page ago…) Now, you ask why it would just be for 24 (or 48, whatever) hours? Firstly, “opening 40 different windows” wouldn’t cause the widget to record that there were 40 unique users online. More plausible is this: the front page of StumbleUpon.com displayed the link to notessimo.net for some short period of time. Front page stuff like that gets a lot of hits from passers-by. So, hundreds of people clicked the link (not at exactly the same time mind you) and either didn’t much care for what they saw, or decided to come back later an never did or very subtly increased the membership here. The sum total of all of this is a huge, brief jump in reach which quickly receded when the front page link was replaced with something else.

Ah. This makes sense. I just tried opening about 6 different windows of notessimo.net and the number of users did not change. I believe this is what happened. Thanks Hypo for clearing that up!
Hmm…There seems to be an unusually high amount of activity around 10:00pm. Only 10-15 users visit Notessimo during the morning/afternoon. But at 10:00pm, there are like 37 users.
You should submit this to Kongregate.com, that’ll get it thousands of views an hour after a few days exposure.
Notessimo 1 was rated very high on Kongregate, and this, even in the Beta stage could do better than that.
Also, if you want I’ll put a link to Notessimo on my youtube channel. I’m a bit famous on Halo 3, so a lot of people view my page. (although few people know who I am on Halo lol, they just watch my vids haha)
But yeah. I say Notessimo is very deserving of some more people, this is an amazing program.
If Starburst uploads Notessimo 2 to Kong, he would probably put the final version, not the beta.
