That’s a little complicated, you can just multiply all the tempos and note lengths by 3* and then you’d easily be able to divide by 3* to get the triplets*.

Wow, i over looked that. The only positive to my over-complicated method is you only increase tempo by a little as oppose to tripling the tempo. So if your going over 333 bpm (but who would?) you would be unable to use your method.

Yep you’re right, although most songs are under 300 bmp.
Also if your tempo is over the limit and you don’t need to use triplet semiquavers/sixteenth notes you can multiply both the tempo and note lengths by 3 and then half them.
If you don’t need to use triplet quavers/8th notes then you could afterwards divide them by four instead.
So it’s possible for a song of 1332 bmp to have triplet crotchets/4th notes by multiplying everything by (3/4).

Sheet 0= Takes up more space, but is very accurate and also allows you to make 14, 28, 56 and 112plets very easily.
Multiply tempo by 7; septuplets are a duration of 64; quaters are a duration of 112.
Sheet 1= Tidier, but the last note is just a tiny bit wrong and also allows you to make 3, 6, 12 and 24plets very easily.
Multiply tempo by 3; septuplets are a duration of 28, last note 24; quaters are a duration of 48.
