Unfinished Songs / Demos

Sorry, QVX. I would criticize your song, but I got to go to band in a few minutes.
Before I leave for it (I’ll be gone for around 3 hours), here’s a new song I’m making.

QVX: That sounds incredible, please continue it so I can review it in full. The effects alone show that a great deal of effort went into the song, even if there wasn’t that much effort put into it.

TFB: I liked the intro drum beat, but you’ll need to change it up there or else the song will become repetitive fast. Bass sorta ruined the mood, I was hoping for a more technical beat instead of such a simple one. Loved sheet 3 though.

Added a lot more to it. I even made a key change from A Minor to Ab Major. (In your face, Star.)

  1. So i guess the transition is good :D
  2. That was like 1.5 hours work…so yeah…effort…lots…although half of the time was probably just re-listening to it…then adding something small like one hi-hat and starting again XD
  3. I’ll try…hopefully it continues this well

@QVX: I didn’t like it…at all…
Every part of seemed like it just happened, with no real effort of making any actual good sound. What key is it even in?

@Octo: Wow. Great intro; sounded like something we’re playing in our band (“Ballet Sacra”).
Good build-up. Loved it. Continue on.

I don’t remember posting this yet, if I did, sorry.

I made this a few days after joining Notessimo, and I eventually got far too lazy to go further because I literally had to do the entire thing by ear. ;~;
Was my first song I started on so frankly, it doesn’t sound too good.
If you can’t tell, I’m a Pokemon fan, big time.

Maybe later on, I’ll finish it.

Also, pardon for my off-topicness, but I’ve been trying to find an awesome jazz-like song with a lot of Strat Guitars I heard before I went inactive… It was quite fast-paced. I’ve been digging through the search function for an hour or two to no avail. Can anyone direct me to such a song?

umad bro?

EDIT: lol I posted this just as your song switched keys (yes I was listening to it for the first time). Love the key switch, really helped with the repetition.

In a bad way or in a good way?

No, not that. Awesome song though.
I think it was made by either Dark Dan or Starwars.

EDIT: Never mind, found it. A Soft Interlude by Starwars.

A good way. Up to the key switch the song was getting stale. Key switches are always good at allaying this, and you did it well.

Glad to be of service

The ‘good sounding’ part is coming next…remember its just the beginning…i’m getting to that part and i might even add in another instrument like i was originally going to do…

I am sick of repeating myself…

  1. I do not know much about music theory, therefor i barely know anything about using a key.
  2. I NEVER have a key in my songs because i barely know how to use one…

QVX, I’m sorry, but the first bars just sounded very weak. But the rest of it was very good! Also I think you should learn about using keys, because the chorus seemed to be in a different key or something. (That’s why TFB asked you that question.) Even though you say you don’t have keys in your songs, you actually do, but you aren’t using them very well. It’s really not that hard!

Here’s a couple of songs

?id=63704 (jazzy song :3)

?id=63705 (trying to make something better out of the original because I could have done a way better job than I did)

it’s like Aerosmith’s Same Old Song And Dance

Something different.

Whatcha guys think? Yay or nay?

Also: Ummm… TFB, i applaud the effort but… well the rating says enough

Kar that was very good! Sounded very tribal.
