Unfinished Songs / Demos

Remix of Word Problems by deadmau5.

Not much going on yet. Just the basic minute-and-a-half startup probably.

I plan to make it awesome. It’s just very chill-out-like (that’s why I called it chill).

So enjoy!

I was expecting a solo at sheet 9, but even without it, it sounds pretty finished to me.

im working on a new song and this song is probably going to have a more rock like structure with a chorus… which im sure you can guess where the chorus is.

My unfinished song. Also the first song that i’m going to actually continue working on until i’m satisfied.

It’s good! Is it all the same song?

sheet 7 is a poorly written solo… ill probably end up restarting it, and after the solo there will be a key change.

Thank you! It’s a combination of different songs, but in the end, it’ll be the theme for a story that i’m doing with a friend.

edit-
Here’s a song that still needs a LOT of work during the eighth notes…

I have another unfinished song that im probably gonna finish after the getaway

@saonfax: its rather empty, I think some parts need more support.

13 minutes about repeating melodies??

you do know that thats from loz right?

ok I thought I was stupid and didn’t know songs from LOZ

you can’t legally do that… well depending on what kind of story it is if its just between you and your friend then its legal… but if its public than its illegal, those songs are property of nintendo and cannot be used without permission from them.

Yeah, i’m currently making a part in the clef bar so there’s something else other than the constant eighth notes.

It’s for a story that i’m doing with a friend, and I wanted it to repeat itself, but not repeat the very beginning. I might remove the first few measures of Seven Seas of Rhye, and have it start at the second sheet with the unfinished eighth notes.

It’s perfectly legal, i’m pretty sure. For the story itself, it’s not public at all. The “script” is in Microsoft Word and I got a small amount of help from http://www.herbalcell.com/. The site’s owner, Rachel Bell, copyleft everything on the site. But that’s where I got some ideas. I figured out most of the stuff on my own, though. The sheets on her site were just backup.

Yes.

I think he meant using the Zelda songs in the story. But I’m sure if you’re not making money off it it’ll be fine.

It’s completely private and won’t be publicized.

Sharing it = Publicizing…

Why is that some of the higher ups have better samples? Something like Utopia sound’s like a midi, while those simple chords in DD12’s song sound amazing…

i have no clue, better mesh of instruments, panning, speeds? idk these are just random things that could help it sound better.

I feel the same about Kaveman’s Unfinished song he post a couple pages back.

I think that in general, Notessimo samples sound better at higher tempos. I’m not sure why it makes a difference though…

I found panning makes a difference.

Kaveman seems to use around 30% alot (especially when an instrument is sololing), and when i have 1/2 a chord at 50% and half at -50% i find it sounds way better. Plus the placement of the notes themselves and yadda yadda yadda…

(Also higher volume helps alot i notice)
