That was in 3/4 time right? Nice, nice…in my experience, it’s hard to make a drum beat for a 3/4 song, I can’t wait for the finished product.

You’re thinking of a type of plane. I’m thinking “barren” as in something along the lines of “a place without the appropriate things for an organism to survive.” So no, I didn’t spell it wrong, I used a different word with the same pronunciation.

So, here’s a little snippet of Hyrule Field…
“Uncool, I was already working on this.”
“It’s been done before…”
“Why do the drums sound so bad?”
Anyways, uh…I didn’t do the beginning yet, because, well, it’s annoying. And since I’m percussionally challenged, it sounds like someone is having a seizure over a drum kit, so suggestions are welcome. Also, I did this by ear, so I probably got the accompaniment all wrong. Derp derp. Whatever, that’s why I’m here. (Oh, and what do you think of the accompaniment’s volume? Too soft?)
As for panning, perhaps I’m just stubborn, or I don’t feel like going through the tedium of editing every individual note, so I think I’ll skip that. (But I might do it later, if people actually like this or something…)
Also, I know this is a popular song, so if anyone has already been working on this for a long time, just speak up and I can put mine on hold…

You mean the low pizzicato I used through the whole thing? Yeah, that part was a bit iffy for me as well. I think it’s actually supposed to be some brass instrument, but I couldn’t quite find one suitable for it. I’ll keep messing around with it, I guess. (And I hate how the pizzicato instrument is a bit flat. It’s such a shame, since the tone is so nice…oh well.) Thanks for the support!
