the more I listen the morre I like it the first time it seemed sudden but now that I expect it coming it sounds good maby put in a short intro with the rythym and similar pitches in a lighter tone But I could be wrong and it might skrew it up

im sory, but it sounds really awful(to me) IMO, notessimo + heavy metal = fail.
I spent like a week on that its really hard to compose metal on notessimo and I think Ill wait for a second opinion
second opinion: the only metal on notessimo that will ever be close to being good will always be Tourtured by the Dead by Theory of Everything.
why does everyone hate metal? I am asking for a comparison to other attempts at hevy metal on this site not to other stuff

Anyways, I’ve been wanting to comment on your song for a while, ixsetf. I guess the laziness got to me. Here goes nothing…
First of all, not everyone here hates metal. Quite the contrary. But an overwhelming majority of users who DO compose metal:
- Has no knowledge of music other than BR00TAL shredding. It sounds like shit. srsly
- Use the drums so badly that it takes crap to a whole new level. I have mention this in a separate point from the first one, which encompasses all knowledge of music, because, well, its THAT bad.
Keep in mind, although you fall in this category as well, your attempts sound better than the turd metal found in the Browse section (because you actually know how to change note lengths)!!
Let’s break Dead Man’s Chariot down.
- The choir is the one of the WORST instruments in Notessimo. Stay away from it at all times. AT ALL TIMES.
- I know heavy metal is suppose to be hard-hitting and all that jazz, but maybe you could go easy on our ears in the metal guitar intro. Build-up first, then rock your pants off.
- Here’s the most important point: Your song…has NO distinguishable melody. All I hear is shredding, and the fact that the metal guitar stays at the bottom of the bass clef numbs my ears.
- The drumming is in need of some serious improvement. The bass drums, snares and crashes are all incredibly fast, and when you mash them together, it sounds like a restaurant kitchen. Here’s a quick drum song thingy I whipped up in a few minutes. It’s not perfect. But I think you can make use of it. ?id=40179
So there you go. Maybe I’m just not a fan of the genre and can’t enjoy the elements it focuses on. But what I can tell you is: a cleaner sound is ALWAYS better.
