I was waiting for someone to make an arrangement of that song. I used to never know what it was called until I watched the Christmas Music Channel and that song played and it said the title. Good job.
And Roast, maybe you should make some sort of a rock remix of it, sorta like what the Pachelbel’s Canon ones are, unless thats what you meant by it.
Yay, new song!
This is a slow one. It starts sad, then changes key and becomes happy. I used excerpts from the song “Slumber, my Darling” for the happy parts. Enjoy!
That was pretty damn good. Sorry for the lack of criticism, theres not much I can say beside the fact it reminds me of Anthony’s sparks of inspiration, or pretty much anything he made.
I have a new song. Yes, I am slighty more active, for my composer’s block has finally stopped.
This one is called “Escape”, and the original Idea was to put a warning message at the beggining. However, it f*cked itself, and the play button wouldn’t work. However, the song is just as good.
Now, go to the front page and listen.
…come on, you’ll like it!
NAO!!!
(BTW, it is in the funkiest time signature that can actually sound good; 5/4 time!)
Here’s the thing. It may not be the #1 best song on notessimo but it’s one of the few songs here that you can’t just listen too, it’s a song you experience. For people who haven’t listened to Escape yet, try closing your eyes as your listening to it. I’m not sure if I am the only one, but the first scene that my head could imagine is me escaping some Russian army base or something, it was awesome.
What’s with the obsession with 5/4 time? the past like 4 songs have been in it. Try making a song in 3/4 if you want to be impressive, because 5/4 and 4/4 are barely distinguishable (<—my computer says i spelled that correctly…).That is all.
I hope you didn’t take that as an insult! I wasn’t specifically talking to you white, but rather notessimo as a whole. The song itself was great. better than great, actually, Roastmasters’ post makes that clear. In fact…I think I’ll try out 5/4 time soon…besides, calling out a song as bad simply because of the time signature is like calling it out for the tempo, there is no point and the creator should use whatever instruments of sound and time he/she wants to. Sorry if it seems like I thought the song was bad, because it was one of the better built ones.
Also, there is no difference between 3/4 and 6/8, nor is there a difference between 2/2 and 4/4, and 6/4 and 3/2. The only real distinction is that normally a time signature will use the bottom number (2=1/2 note, 4=1/4 note, and 8=1/8 note) more often than the others, but that doesn’t make a difference. I can still call my 3/4 song a 6/8 song, and there would be no change at all.
actually star there is in 3/4 it must be able to be broken into 3 sections of a quarter note(useually) and 6/8 must be able to be broken into 6 8th note segments(useually) its kinda complicated
3/4 is generally used in waltzes and slow songs, and 6/8 time is used in marches and older compositions.
The actual difference, coming from a musical expert*, is:
3/4: Beats in measure=3, quarter note gets one beat.
6/8: Beats in measure=6, eighth note gets one beat.
Now STOP IT.
@Father of Luke: It wasn’t an insult, I was just pointing out facts.
*My abilities have not been assesed by any group or board. I’m just kinda cocky when it comes to music technicality.
