The title means “Monkey’s Island” in Japanese. I chose that name because it felt kinda jungley and tropical.
ー星丸
P.S. I don’t believe this is any kind of masterpiece, but I felt I had to do something to anchor my self here again. Hopefully you won’t hate the melody and understand what I’m doing with the rhythm to make the time signature ambiguous.
Btw the only point of this was that I have 2 tempos and time signatures going at the same time (3/4 with a beat ever quarter note and 4/4 with a beat every dotted 8th)
Well time signatures are arbitrary, but since both sets of (contradicting) beats are stressed it falls into multiple time signatures. I took music theory I know what I’m talking about.
You can argue it’s either simple triple or compound quadruple, what I’m saying is that you can label it either and have it make just as much sense either way.
I have a cross rhythm running throughout, which leaves the time signature ambiguous. Which is why I said that it has 2 time signatures.
