These are episodes from a story that I am doing with a friend. I thought i’d share them here. I write everything after we do the episodes in a game. I wrote this one a long time ago. Either the beginning of 2012 or late 2011. We were originally using Super Smash Bros Brawl, but now we are switching to Minecraft this week. I might add the background information later. If you get mad at who we’re using, ignore this thread. If you don’t like my writing style, ignore this thread.
Episode One
Ike, Marth, and Link
The Chronicles of Ordon Village begins with a scene of Ike, who is a native of Viridian Ocean. Ike has been living on the island for nearly all of his life.
· Ike and Marth are sent out of Pyrite City to find new land. Pyrite City was located around an oasis with fountains and plants neatly scattered across the city. With small man-made canals dividing each section of Pyrite, it’s a city like none other you would find in the Phenac Dune Sea, or even any desert in any territory.
· The land that Ordon Village rests on was founded after Marth and Link stumbled upon a small wooden house. The small hut was built over the Agate River, and owned by a man by the name of Ike. He fought defensively with Marth as Link was having fun with his fairy in the shack near Ike’s House. After Marth surrendered to Ike, the two explorers went inside the house, which was when Marth told Ike why he and Link were on an expedition. The two went outside as Link walked down the stairs with his fairy. The clear sky of dusk quickly turned into an overcast of thunderclouds as the sun was setting. A strong wind came by and swept away the wooden dock Ike had made for fishing. Now in different pieces going down the Agate River, the three men could barely stand still with the strong winds. After the wooden dock was out of sight, large drops of rain quickly poured from the dark cloudy sky. As Ike was trying to save as many fishing supplies as he could, Link and Marth were gathering their entire expedition’s supplies and tents. After rain constantly poured on the three, they finally gathered their supplies. Ike lost some rope and nets and such that were on the end of the dock, but not the important supplies, such as bait. They ran into the house as the lantern fell onto the wet wood after the harsh wind knocked it down. Ignored, they dashed into Ike’s house as he made a camp fire in the middle of the house for heat. The water level of the Agate River was quickly rising as thunder was constantly clapping the night sky and rain fell into the rapid river. Before long, the water level reached the wooden foundation of Ike’s house. After a few minutes of constant rain, the water level was above the wooden foundation, and water was covering the deck as Ike, Marth, and Link were sitting quietly. They quickly stood up with their backpacks and ran out the door. Before they could decide which way to go, a wave of water came by on the house and knocked it off its stilts, sending it crashing down in the river. The three men were separated as they were violently forced down the Agate River into the ocean.
· The next morning, Link woke on the beach to the sight of a large ship out in the ocean. Not too far from the shore, it was not anchored and near enough for Link and the other two boys to swim to. But before Marth or Ike woke up from the events that happened the night before, Link dropped his backpack and clothes and quickly swam to the boat with his companion fairy close behind. Once Link was able to find a way to hoist himself up to the main deck of the vessel, Ike and Marth awoke at the same sight that their partner did. Thinking that Link would get himself into trouble, they both dropped their packs and clothes to swim towards the boat. None of them knew that the boat was deserted, and was so for weeks. It would appear as though the crew was there an hour ago, but the last time any human was on it was, at the least, five weeks. As they all rest for half a minute, once they make to the middle of the boat, they figure out who is going to search what area of the ship. They go to their respective rooms only to return to the middle of the boat a few minutes later to discover that the boat is completely empty of its crew. Taking it as their own, they improvise an anchor to guarantee that the boat is stationary. They make use of the miscellaneous supplies on the boat, such as food stored away in barrels, about 10 different fishing nets, and 25 barrels full of different varieties of bait. There were other supplies, such as extra clothes and tools for growing vegetables and gathering fire wood.
· Before lunch time comes around, Ike returns to the camp that Link and Marth set up with the remaining supplies that they hadn’t lost in the events the night before. They were going to save the supplies in the ship for another time. Link used his fire arrows to light the fire wood on fire. Ike skewers the fish he caught when Link was gathering firewood and sets it above the fire. A large enough fish to feed them for lunch that day, Ike also set up a net near the boat which captured enough fish to feed them for at least 5 more days.
· After a few days of setting up tents, they had enough supplies to construct Ordon Village’s first building. The building would host much of the food from crops, supplies, and resources. It would be where they ate, slept, and did the rest of their daily needs, including Link’s nightly fun with his fairy.
