Personally, I don’t like drum solos (yes, I’ve made some, but I hate them). They don’t require much more than a rhythm, pitch doesn’t matter. Therefore, less diversity, and it feels like the same thing over and over. There a few I like because of their diversity and such, but very few (Neil Peart’s drum solo is extremely good).
Thank you for telling me about Neil Peart, I’ve never heard of him before. I do agree, drum solos aren’t that hard to make, anyone could make one. Making drum solos like this help me practice, come up with more ideas on what to do next. It simulates the mind, especially for me.
Wish it could do the same for me, because I’ve made drum solos (which I know TFB would hate), yet I still make horrible songs.
I hate considering drum solos a song. That’s my main reason for this.
