Different Colors (Cover) PREVIEW by Walk the Moon (arr. by W0lfe)

Well, after about 1-2 years away from the Notessimo composing screen, I have finally made a return… and I’m doing it in style!

What you have here is a 20-second snippet of the first song I’ve worked on in a while: a cover of Different Colors by Walk the Moon (one of my most favorite bands ever).

I hope you enjoy it as much as I will.

The note lengths bother me a bit

Need more bass for me ^^

Don’t worry, this will be fixed in later versions!

All righty, I guess I’ll get to that.

Sheet 0:
Bassline should be A#2 > F2 > C3 > D3
I would’ve used Bass Guitar #1 for the Bass
Vocals are the wrong pitch, should be A#4 > D5 > C5 > D5 > A#4 or similar.
Metal Guitar should be a bunch of quiet 8th notes played on D4 and starts on the upbeat of beat 4 in measure 2.
The Fade In should climax and stop as soon as the toms play; however, have another Fade In start when the toms do and climax right before sheet 1.
The Toms come in on beat 1 of measure 4.

Sheet 1:
Again, vocals are off-key. Consider adjusting the note length to 8 > 4 > 12 > 4 > 16 or very slightly longer by adding 1.
The double-hit Snares come in on beat 4 of measure 1 (also play quietly on beat 2 of measure 1), beat 2 and 4 of measure 2, beat 2 and 4 of measure 3, and beat 2 of measure 4. Then, in measure 4, you have single hits immediately after beat 3 (when the C4 on the Fender Strat plays) and on beat 4.
I’m too lazy to figure out the notes that the guitars are suppose to play since this isn’t my cover, but there are more notes than that, they play very quietly, and it doesn’t sound like they play the notes that you put.

Would give more criticism, but I think that’s enough for now. Hope this helps.

Last Notes: Control your volume levels, everything shouldn’t be the same volume. Keep a beat in your head while copying the rhythms down, it helps you place it correctly. Work on pitch and note length.
