How old is that drumbeat? It’s obviously more than 16 years old, considering that this game came out in '96.

At 1:26. Most of these breakbeats come out of Funk songs in the late 60’s/70’s. Of course they (mainly this one) were sampled straight into Hip Hop but sliced for Jungle/D&B, & now mostly Breakcore using this method.

Another famous one is James Brown’s - The Funky Drummer, which is what Drum Loop #1 is actually sampled from. But the most sampled is the Amen.

Your drumbeat is actually just a semi mix of the 2, mostly the funky drummer now that I listen.,

I actually recreated the Amen in Notessimo, but never posted it.
