Extinction (Preview) by QVX 797

Made in V2 (You should also use the old player)
Might have to abandon this purely because of the lag it produces in V2 full screen; definitely regretting hyper-speed at this point.
(…and i’m not swapping to legacy cause it kills the song)

Regardless; enjoy

I like it. Can’t wait for it to be finished.

HOW U DO THE ECHO EFFECT?

Do you do the metal guitar on 2 layers each layer having different panning?

Thanks
I’ll try to finish it, assuming the lag doesn’t keep getting worse, i might have to resort to non-fullscreen haha.

If you’re referring to the strats:
The notes are just twice as long as they should be (assuming a note “should” stop when the next plays), that way, the first note lasts until the third, the second until the forth etc. Creating an overlap and therefore an echo effect.

If you’re referring to the metal guitars:
I wouldn’t exactly consider it echo, more of a way to change the initial/final sounds of the guitar and hence create more fluidity. (If it’s slower it creates more of a panned echo)
Basically:
-Both notes are the same pitch and volume,
-The panning on the first is -100% and the second is 100%. (This creates a more ‘full’ sound to it and changes the initial sound of the guitar)
-The second note (the 100% panned one) is delayed 1/16th
-All of this is done on 1 layer.
As I’ve already said, when this is used on slower tempos it will create more of an echo effect. At faster speeds it’s barely noticeable as that and seems to change the sound of the guitar instead
I don’t take credit for this either, doing the same thing without panning has been done for ages on here, with panning i’m not entirely sure. I did get this effect from the 4 person collab (http://www.notessimo.net/page/browse/songs.html/_/notessimo2/experiment-wwy-collab-r73559 Sheet 14 onwards) and i’ve also seen someone else use it before (whose name escapes me).
In fact that above collab inspired me to create this song.
