With lunch today I decided to watch a History Channel documentary (do they ever show anything else?) on World War 2 called WWII in HD (great name lol). It was nearing the end of the war, and it showed one man and his company passing through western Germany. Then the convoy stopped for no apparent reason in the middle of nowhere. It turns out they were stopping at a concentration camp to liberate the prisoners. Somehow the show got a hold of brand new never before seen type films and that part showed everything in the camp, and I swear, seeing all those starved dead bodies piled up sent chills through me. It makes me wonder how they could stomach that. Then it moved on the Hiroshima, where they showed actual footage from the Enola Gay at 30,000 feet. just witnessing the horror of those two acts was just…there aren’t words. Just…jeez…
