1 is to have a page setup where I can jump to any page I want in the brows section. When my songs got deleted, I had to find all of them again through the brows section, and some of them I had submitted 2-3 years ago, so I had to spend at least an hour skimming through all the songs trying to get them back.
2 more note types. I could really use triplets. You might say to use the custom thing, but they are a decimal note duration using that format. I think it should be more like finale with dotted quarter notes, dotted eight notes, dotted sixteenth, etc, AND THEN, custom note settings is subsidiary.
EDIT: At the time of making this post, I had no idea I was talking to steevey. Welcome back!
Okay both of these problems have been solved before a long time ago.
Number one: The first and foremost step you should take to be incredibly sure is to share your song, and then send your self a Private Message (PM) with the song in it. To do this, simply go to your User Control Panel (UCP) and locate the PM tab. Compose a new message, and write whatever you want. Be sure that you have the url in there somewhere! To send it to yourself, simply type your own username EXACTLY into the to: area.
Number two: First off let me just say that your solution will likely never be implemented, even though it is a good idea. The game is already nearly finished, so you can’t expect the maker to completely re-design the game for one aspect, even one as important as triplets. Luckily, there are two round-about solutions to your problem. The first is to set the speed of the song ridiculously high (anywhere above 500 bpms) and use the custom notes settings. The optimal settings for the three notes are the first one: 24. The second: 20. And the third: 20. This is not a true triplet, but if you do it correctly it sounds okay. Here’s a song to demonstrate this:
A better solution is to trick the system (You’ll need a calculator). What you should do is take your original bpm (whatever it may be) and divide it by 4. Then multiply the resulting number by either 3 or 6. If you do it by 3, then what happens is this: every 3 measures are the exact same time as four measures in your original bpm. As an example, let’s say my bpm is 120. I divide it by four and then multiply the answer (30) by 3, resulting in a new bpm of 90. Now, because ninety is exactly 3/4 of 120, every three measures at 90 bpm equals four at 120 bpm. To find out what notes you want, use the same method, divide the actual note number (a quarter note is 16) by 4 and multiply it by either 3 or 6 (depending on which one you choose earlier). Simply put, a custom note set to 12 at 90 bpm equals a quarter note at 120 bpm. Now you are wondering how to make triplets. Well, as it turns out, this is the easiest part. Simply use whatever regular note you want (I.E. a quarter or 8th), and place it in threes down the measures until you get three measures worth of notes. This creates a true triplet, where each note is exactly the same in length. Another demonstration 9The first note and the second are the exact same in actual length, despite being two different notes.):
