Keyboard Thread

This is a thread about keyboards, so only talk about (musical) keyboards (Synthesizers,Digital Pianos & Organs may be there too, because they are family of the electronic keyboard.)

You even can put pictures of a keyboard instrument if you are in the mood to do that.

I don’t care which brand, so tell about every keyboard instrument you like.

I have a QWERT keyboard. OOHHH a musical keyboard. Ah. I have a Yamaha m500 ch.

Wait, that isn’t a “keyboard” is it? It has a keyboard, but it isn’t a keyboard, right?

The Casio CTK-551. This used to be my musical livelihood until I accidentally yanked the power adapter out too hard, rendering the power supply borked. It worked well on batteries, but only so much money was spent purchasing and repurchasing batteries before it became more of a burden than a benefit. The grey buttons pointing toward the LED screen and the number pad on my model are almost completely broken. It was also my go-to instrument for practicing (and beginning to improvise) for my piano lessons, which I quit on a whim a few years back. It now resides under my bed, merely gathering dust… unsure of whether it will ever be played upon again.

This is my keyboard: the Casio CTK-451. I got this one in the GB (now Carrefour) when i was 7 or 8 (somewhen around 2001-2002), it looks older than the Casio CTK-551, but both of them are much better than the Casios of today. In 2012 i was long haired when i gigged it. Now it’s covered under the clothes of my parents. I’m unsure if i could play this again, but i’m very busy nowadays, but i want to keep it or i would do this:  .

My CTK-330 keyboard. I rarely ever use it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here is my Casio MA-201, i only have the keyboard, but not the box, but the keyboard still works fine. It still rocks the house because it’s an 1980’s keyboard. Unfortunatly i do not have the box, but fine.

Casio LK-220

My Casio SA-1, it’s a nice little keyboard from 1988. The piano sound is pretty realistic.

The Casio LK-100 & the Casio LK-110 are pretty good keyboards, then there are the Casio LK-92TV,the Casio LK-94TV,the Casio LK-300TV, they look the same a bit, only with other color scheme. And there we have the Yamaha DGX-650, it follows the obsolete Yamaha DGX-630 & the little younger Yamaha DGX-640. (hmm, those are Digital Pianos/Stage Pianos & keyboards the same, i still do not own all of those keyboards on this post, but i have to put the names somewhere.)

EDIT: Excuse me that i spam my threat, but there are some more older Casios & Yamahas.:
Casio CTK-501
Casio CTK-511
Casio CTK-518
Casio CTK-519
^
Those keyboards are the same, but with other color scheme.
Casio CTK-555
Casio CTK-560L
^
Those keyboards are the same too, only the color scheme is different!
More Casios which are the same, but with other color scheme are:
Casio LK-40
Casio LK-42
Casio LK-43
Casio LK-44
& Casio LK-45
Then we have:
Casio WK-1630
Radio Shack MD-1700 (not a Casio.)
& the Casio WK-1800
The next 2 Casios are the same:
Casio CTK-480
& Casio CTK-515 (only difference is the color scheme.)
Then we have those other same keyboards, but with other color schemes:
Casio CTK-601
& Casio CTK-611
Casio CTK-651
& Radio Shack MD-1210 are the same too.

I have some Yamaha thinger ma thing

I have a piano with white and black keys.

Yamaha Tyros 5 does have 2 versions of it’s specimen: the normal 61-key version & the 76-key version, which looks more like a piano. The ensemble sounds are more realistic than the earlier Tyros models. Glad to see the new model from the Tyros series.

EDIT: Erm, & sorry if i’m spamming in my thread again, but there is a Red AKAI MIDI Keyboard called: Akai MAX49 USB MIDI CV Controller Keyboard, so you can connect it to a computer or another MIDI modular.

EDIT: The M-Audio Venom is a MIDI keyboard too. Plug it onto your computer or module & you can make some music.
The Yamaha YPT-220 is a cheesy Entry Level Keyboard, it sucks a little, but it’s way better than the Casios which sound & feel plastic. (no offence to the Casios)

EDIT: The Casio CTK-330 is a nice keyboard too. It has the same age as the Casio CTK-80.

Maybe i even could own a Casio CTK-240 or a Casio WK-3800 because they & the last 2 Casios on this post are way better than the newer Casios.

The Casio CTK-551 has a Pitchbend wheel.

The Casio MZ-2000 is a Question mark Casio because it looks like a Technics. It even would be called: Technics SX-MZ-2000 because it’s a Technics/Casio.

dude. don’t spam your own thread.

TV, if no-one else has posted since you last posted, EDIT the previous comment and add what you would like, it may be your thread, but the double posting rule still applies. This time i’ve edited all your posts together.

It’s Obvious, QVX.

Well, umm… The Casio WK-7500 is a must have for every entertainer who doesn’t have to spend too much money to buy a professional keyboard, but i guess you should look for a Yamaha PSR-S750 or a Yamaha PSR-S950 instead if you could spend more money.

Casio made 3 new keyboards: Casio CTK-6250,Casio LK-127 & Casio LK-247, they are fine keyboards to mess around with, but i would go for a Yamaha PSR-E433 to start your piano lessons.

The Yamaha PSR-S650 seems to have less features than the Yamaha PSR-S750 or Yamaha PSR-S950, but it seems to have a newer LCDisplay.

Yamaha especially released a special Oriental keyboard called the Yamaha PSR-A2000, an Oriental keyboard to mess around with because of the Oriental instruments.

The Casio Privia PX-5S is a digital piano with some Blue on it.

Lets go back to 1990, when the next Yamaha’s got released: Yamaha SY-22,Yamaha PSR-2,Yamaha PSR-3,Yamaha PSS-50,Yamaha PSR-4600,Yamaha PSR-8 & Yamaha PSS-190.

1 year later, the Yamaha PSR-18 was released.

The Yamaha PSR-19 has the same case & buttons as the Yamaha PSR-18, but with other color scheme & the buttons from the voice presets seem more professional.

Another favorite is the Yamaha PSR-4500, it’s a nice high end keyboard to mess around with. Ando Umeda (from YouTube) owns this great keyboard, besides this, he even owns: Solton MS-20,Technics SX-KN3000 & Yamaha PS-6100 for example. (you should go to youtube & search: Yamaha PSR-4500 demo)
