let's write an RPG soundtrack!

The bass line sounds a bit off to me. =/
I don’t really like the melody either. =/
This is why you don’t compose late. =/
Woo! The last two lines lined up! =D

Name suggestion taken.

Does AotFPS sound like a slightly off-key (am I the only one that hears that?) variation of something else?
Also, front page updated-ish. Still missing a few themes, but then again, it’s not like there are any games lined up waiting for a soundtrack now, eh?

One more thing, I may or may not be currently involved in another DC/Hypo production, so you may or may not want to be on the lookout for that in the near or not so near future.

RECIPE FOR AWESOME

OH NOES I R REVEALED! xD
No, but seriously. I guess that was in my head when I was doing this. =D

BASS #4 IS THE GREATEST GOD DAMNED INSTRUMENT EVER.

I picked one no one was going for, Tropical island/beach… well at first I had nothing, but then at the end of the day in the shower, I suddenly found myself humming an Unfamiliar tune(yes I sing and hum while taking a shower). Funny thing is I didn’t notice that I was doing it since I was concentrating mostly on what a song about tropical islands or a beach would sound like. It is a bit short though but I think that is what makes it so easy to loop it.
Liveing in the sun and sand

if you want it longer I can make it longer but I kinda like it like this… although I might actually make it longer becouse i realized after a while its kinda annoying. lol. so when I fix it I will re-post… probably…

Ok this should make it a bit more bearable. (rock) here it is “living in the sun and sand 2” by yours truly
Liveing in the sun and sand 2

This song didnt strike me as “RPG Tropical/Beach”

I think more of a calm scene or maybe a scene kinda like what “The Samaritan” was made for (rock)

Also Hypo and DC nice song (rock)

I didnt like it as much as The Last Bastion

Agreed. It sounds much more foresty than beachy. If you’re going to make a tropical theme, you absolutely 100% have to use the steel drum, no exceptions.

Roast: that gif haunts my dreams now.

I always loved the areas with snow (rock)
usually they have some pretty hard challenges

so here is a snowy area (that is what i think it is)

Wow, The beginning was great, 10/10 intro but it went downhill fast, got repetitive, and you just used the wrong instruments

Well it started to off as a remix of “The Ocean”…
but later (around sheet 3 or wherever the bass came in) i didnt know what to do…and then i decided well i just show where it repeats

Bump

Bringing this thread back to life with my “Field Theme” (I didn’t see it on the OP though, but I think any RPG needs a wide open field)
This is also the 4th part to my “Damant Journeys”
So here it is…Damant Field ( (rock) )

Okay, everybody knows I don’t like to be mean. But Kamarai, do you know your scales? I don’t want to be mean but do you?

Nope…i have like nothing taught to me about music whatsoever

EDIT: It dawned on me what you mean…wow i feel stupid…but it will only help me

I have all my scales by my side printed out
