charlie brown.
that’s like more famous than like Michel Jackson’s death
Sounds good Star.
Star, for some reason every time I play Glory’s road on my piano, Everyone says that it sounds familiar. are you sure its not a cover???
And lol, its in the same key as canon.
It’s definitely not a cover…and also it’s in G Major, whereas Pachelbel’s Canon is generally played in D (although it could be moved).

but you has c sharps D: could be in harmonic D minor…
EDIT: Err… I meant Harmonic B minor.
Oh wow funny the things I don’t notice sometimes, I intended for it to be it G major, and the chord D major works well in G major, however I must have somehow been placing C sharps without thinking about it, at the time I must have just thought it sounded more on-key than regular C. Well okay I suppose that is in fact in D major, although completely unintentionally.
cool… oh and congratulations on the fact that people somehow know your song BEFORE I even play it to them <–thats you right now
Why is Gateway to Paradise not on your poll???
It’s not because I forgot if you were wondering. I deliberately took it of because of the fact that it is already among the top three as my favorite song by myself.
kk cause its my fav also
EDIT: First things first, I reset my poll with this new song in it because I think it has a shot at being my best. Also, do your best to listen to sheet 9 and beyond in Best Quality, as that’s what I wrote it in. Sheet 8 WILL lag your computer unless you have a nice one like mine, but it’s not too bad.
Oh man my thread nearly descended to the third page! Well at least I’m bumping it with a song. Probably the first actual song that was not written during the share bug. It took me two days, and I need to give some inspiration credit for the bass to Field of Theories. I didn’t actually intend for this song to be a direct response to Roastmasters, but early on I recognized the value of roasty’s bass line with my guitar riff. Without further ado, A Building Full of Experiments.

XD after all this time I nearly forgot that in order to embed a song you have to use ONLY the numbers. ![]()
Well the lagging was bad on my crappy computer, especially in the beginning.
It’s a very nice song, I liked the clean electric guitars. It reminded me of some dilapidated (is that a word?) warehouse or something. I also like the “draggy” effect like in bars 11 and 12. The fade-outs used (like in bar 33) were good too.
Bra-fucking-vo. Incredible. If I had a standing applause GIF I’d totally use it. Before I even read your post I heard the first few sheets and I instantly recognized where you got the bass from. Then a few seconds later I read your post and then I was like “OF COURSE!”. What amazes me most though is how unorganizedly organized this piece is. I know I’m not wording it right- The song, you can tell you had written some outline of it somewhere, that’s just how organized it is… But you can still pick up that messy vibe the song gives (compliment, it is very hard to get that vibe in notessimo).
The drums in the ~20 sheets were orgasmic. Rarely ever is the fade in device-strument ever incorporated into the beat and done right, so I applaud you for that. A+ atmosphere as well. It’s incredibly repetitive but for some reason I don’t see that as a problem in this song.
Wow. Very good song right there. Nothing else can really be said. 6/5
All I need now is a comment from DC stating how technically the 12-12-8 notes in the solo aren’t triplets or how I only really made sheet 8 in haste without actually spending a quality amount of time tweaking every single little detail and I will switch this song to be my new favorite. I still love Gateway, but what I really like about this song is that I can put it in the background of whatever work I’m doing and it fits well because of it’s mellow grove feel and all.
But seriously guys, thanks for the comments in support. ![]()
EDIT: Oh, and let me say this before I go, as always my favorite part of the song is the most minor background instrument, in this case the Organ. It’s such a simple riff, and it never changes, but still.

Does that work for you?
I can’t figure out how to favorite the song! ![]()

this is really off topic, but why is the word BOB above all our avatars?
also, what was sheet 8 about? It really lagged mt computer.
Definatly makes me think that you expirimented with many instruments and put them all together…hence the name.
Also Roast an organized mess is a better name for it i guess…it may have a bad conotation with it…but in this case its a good thing!
A+ drums and the fade in was an epic add on to it!
Your clean guitar riff was great!
The metal guitar wasn’t the best but it was good stuff though.
I give it a 5/5!
