well there are SOME parts I like.
i care but it was a perfectly avrage song so I didnt comment but I think it needs better transitions and better tempo change stuff
Well, thanks ixsetf, that’s exactly my problem, trasitions and tempo changes
About your song darc, I think it’s awesome, but some parts are way too quick, slow them down and you’ll have a better result in my opinion
alternate title: i simply cannot write this stuff. let’s call it up for grabs and home someone can make something of value out of it.
to make good(ish) metal first do what you normally do but then when you think of the riff put it in backwards EX: (the notes will be represented by numbers) if you would put 123 123 123 234 234 234 put 432 432 432 321 321 321 instead, this works most of the time but sometimes you just have to switch the notes top to bottem if highest note was 5 and lowest was 2 2=5 3=4 4=3 5=2 and somtimes it dosen’t work either way but that you should be able to figure out
I finally finished souls of the dead its on the url

Its not heavy metal but its still metal…
Could i have feedback please?
its nice for a beginner got a real rhytem but I got weird at points
That was great for a first song post way better than mine and way better drums than i did for about 1/2 my time at notessimo
So for that you get a
My advice is on the end of you song…when you do words have to the volume be 0% okay
lol i forgot to take that out…
I’m actually a drummer in real life…so i can make good beats
Well, i have already made another song…its a little weird…

Time to jack this thread
DEATH CASTLE
Hope i don’t sound too cocky
Once again I thank Anthony for “Fire Elemental”
Oh, man. That’s an old one. Glad you used a couple ideas from it, though. Thanks.
Oh, and your new unfinished song. It was good but the melody was used too much. Some changes would’ve been nice.
Nice job. You’re getting better.
Thanks…ya its very repetitive but its pretty good
LOL ya Fire Elemental is under id 30000 but its really really good
Its not unfinished though, its a loop
Oh shoot. I thought this was the Unfinished thread. Dayum, I need some sleep. Haha.
LOL wow thats great…that made my day…even though i wasn’t having a bad day
Im not even close to tired…its 7:47 here…but i doubt your much farther off…
decided to start a metal song again now that im better at notessimo
Ixsetf:

Trust me, that chord never sounds good. You can get away with it in some classical music, but you have to be very very very experienced and know what you’re doing. Most composers can’t use it properly (that includes me). However, if you use the first note (f in this case) and shift the f# up an octave (say, f#4 to f#5), it doesn’t sound as bad. But you still have to be very careful.
Kamarai, I’m looking at you too. Along with some other people I can’t remember.
Hooray for living up to my self-imposed title of music nazi!
My usual rule of thumb is sharp with sharp, flat with flat, and natural with natural when it comes to chords
I like to go atleast a space of change…i usually go 2 or more though
But hey i can’t say im perfect, i probably did a 1 or no space somewhere…i don’t know for sure and the technicalities of it well, i don’t really know enough to say
i agree with the music nazi part, but i think this site needs one, it makes us all better composers
Ill keep this stuff in mind
Lol’d at picture.
And a minor second is to be sparingly used, if you want it to sound bad for an occasion.
EDIT: And if you’re unsure of how it sounds, slow down the piece dramatically so you can hear note by note. If every single note doesn’t sound perfect, change it.
