So I couldn’t find a thread for this and I want people to tell me about their musical stories.
It can be stories like what happened at band camp, what happened on tour, in the band room, etc.
So, here’s my story:
So, I was at my friends 17th birthday party. He’s in a heavy metal band, so he thought it would be cool to throw a giant party with a couple other bands.
It was more hardcore bands.
So the band Rumors of Betrayal were playing up on stage, everyone was moshing and shit, and the singer fell off stage and broke his arm.
This is why I suggest don’t headbang and scream at the same time, you’ll get dizzy.
Here’s the story of how I began to make electronic music:
It all started when I was listening to a song on Newgrounds about 2 or 3 years ago by a guy named K-391. I was a big fan of his music the second I heard it, and in the description, it said he used a program called FL Studio 10. I was thinking: “His music is awesome. I want to learn how to make stuff like this.” So I looked up FL Studio 10 and it lead me to the Image Line official website. So I downloaded it and experimented with it. I couldn’t make anything I thought was good at the time, so I tried some tutorials to make dubstep for my cousin (She LOVES dubstep). But I ended up not being able to make a yoi sound. So instead I made an EXTREMELY repetitive electronic tune that I still feel annoyed for posting it on my SoundCloud, mostly because it was repetitive and it had an incredibly stupid name (It’s the first tune I posted). But as a result, I discovered 6 comments from a guy named RoZmX. He was the very first person to follow me. I wouldn’t be here without him, and eventually I gained more followers and made my Notessimo account. About a month ago, I saw Monstercat in the Who to follow list. I eventually clicked on it. I have been trying to get in ever since.
And that is the story of why I’m here and why I make music
2009: accidentally finds Notessimo
-makes terrible music
2010: accidentally re-finds.
-makes terrible music
2011: Sees v2
-makes slightly better but still terrible music
2012: Makes account
-makes slightly better but still is terrible
2013: Continues
-makes much better music but still isn’t that great.
2014: Gives up
-makes nothing
Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I’d like to take a minute just sit right there
I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-air
In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys, they were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said “You’re moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air”
I whistled for a cab and when it came near the
License plate said “fresh” and had a dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to Bel-air!
I pulled up to a house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabby “Yo, homes smell you later!”
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-air
