that was because of the French horns, they collided with other instruments because they were too loud (most likely)ā¦ I like them a lot (a lot, a lot), and even if they are background I tend to bring them out more than I should, Iāll Lower their volume (and maybe the e.piano and claveās on the āniceā part). That should also bring out the damant spectrum part that probably faded too far into the background. Lastly, in the end I think the violins collided with the French horns alsoā¦ (I sound like iām reviewing my own songā¦ why did I not do this last night). While iām at it the ending was weirdā¦ I got some work to do .

very beautiful song octoā¦ a bit short but you were probably on a rush to get it done before mothers day so ill give you that. The ending is pretty weak by itself (but you were probably rushed to get it done). And you really didnāt hold on to the melodies longer than you should have there would be(basically just saying its to short again). It also felt like the song was trying to be forced to move faster than it should haveā¦ sorta (too short a third time).BTW how on earth do you get your chords so epic

I tried to fix its repetitiveness but its still pretty repetitive and the melody is awkward in some places, but im done working on it. Whats there is there and will stay there.
I get a video game feeling to the song. And it is a damn good one.
The song sounds like it belongs in a video game track. Literally, it could loop from sheet 5 [The ending] to sheet 1. It basically links back to the beginning, which I love songs that end like that. [lol you so bias octo]
Song structure? Fuck that shit. The song is by far okay by my ears except for bits like sheet 11 which was not a good, strong powerful scene to me. It was like trying to fit in with the actionistic parts of the song; did not work. You kept an amazingly well amount of entertainment throughout the song, made me continuously satisfied like if you had made me a sandwich.

Most of my songs donāt have structure but I donāt really mind for thatā¦ I mean there are lost of orchestrated pieces that donāt have much structure in them. I thought sheet 11 was off in my first post of this song too.

That was very good. There were a few āoffā notes, like some of the the Aās.
I think the piece would be great for a video game, mainly because itās a bit slow to listen to on its own.
But it was a really good song! Great work.
that makes me happy that people see it as fitting for a video game, ever since I named it I intended for it to sound like it would fit in a video game (herobrine is a myth for minecraft, he is a really scary and mysterious person).
I have to admit, teddy, out of all your songs (Iāve listened to), I think this one tops it all. It keeps me hooked even with the occasional drop in power or sudden stop. It would be a very good video game song (if you took parts of it and switched them around a bit ). Itās like a guitarmania song with less instruments on the screen at once. I give it an 8.5/10.
That was 4 minutes long? It felt a LOT shorter than that. In fact I was thinking I would say something āit would make for a great prelude to a much faster boss-type theme,ā but four minutes is stretching it, so instead Iāll think of it as itās own song instead.
On the upside, the fact that the song feels so short is proof of an utter lack of repetition, something commendable. In fact my only real critique is that the song is a little empty at parts. It really does capture that awesome FF or Kirby feel to video game music, especially with all the changing instruments. It is a little lopsided, some parts are clearly more powerful, but on the whole, it keeps a loose enough structure to make the song unpredicatable.
Donāt have too much more time, so Iāll just leave a rating (the others have really hit on the key qualities and problems). 4.2/5
I actually imagined this song as being a mixture of different themes that sound like they could be in a video game. sheets 0,1,2,4 would be the entrance or overall presentation of the a castle, or lair. Sheet three would be the emptiness of the lair, or castle as you wander around its halls. Sheets 7-11 would be an engagement with an enemy (if only it was a better sounding section of the song). Then straight back into the plundering for sheet 13. And finally the final boss appears for sheet 12, and 5. So its basically a very crunched down version of pieces I would make for a scary gameā¦ sort of.
Itās good, youāve got potential. But it got a bit crowded when the violins came in, and also make sure you think about structure.
