I think this would help prevent flaming through songs.

You should be able to save a song but you need a username to share them. Sure half the people won’t post but who cares it makes moderating the songs and prevents username stealing a.k.a. the IM STARBURST songs that are horrible. Also it would be nice to when you share a song and then you save it again it save to the same link so that way you don’t have to make a new entire link with no ratings to just add some drum lines to your song.

thats the best idea ever, i remember finding sped up versions of my songs. thats really annoying since people take their name and slap it in there.

Hey yeah, that is a very good idea. Use our forum username/password to share, so that way if someone spams or steals, we could ban them if necessary. You should definitely let Starburst know about this idea by a PM or something. It could also stop the browse page becoming a (as Hypo put it) ‘voracious ocean of shit’ lol

Also how about a required 3 notes in a song so you can make like a one measure drum beat to share but no one can share a song with 0 notes. Which a lot of people do.

What about a 5 second time limit? The 5 seconds for the fact that their are RPG jingles out there but I think a jingle, tune, riff, song whatever, should be at least over 5 seconds before it can be published.

I think having an account would be better… because people would still be able to throw on 200 instruments within 4 or so measures to make it at least 5 seconds long.
I just thought or something else too… if they need an account… then there should be someone, or a few people monitoring the browse page every now and then to make sure no crap gets out there. Like a few previous incidents where people had an argument by song names and such. Yeah… just another little idea. lol

Also, it would help if the sharing limit was 2 songs. That would drastically reduce the “song with no instruments” crap

I don’t really agree with that limit. If that were the case then I couldn’t make Through the Fire and Flames properly… and others couldn’t make other intense/complex songs either.

Also, why should there be any limit to the number of instruments?

Ohhhhh, didn’t notice the ‘at least’ part… ahah, oops
But either way, I still don’t think there should be a limit. Somebody could still get away with the 1 instrument song thing, just put one note for 4, and the rest as the fifth… so… yeah.

That is WAY to low of a share limit per day.

My computer is so bad that I set it to delete all cookies, history and other internet stuff; set it to completley wipe tha ram every so often; and high of my time on the computer is spent cleaning up my hard drive.

So I have to share all my songs before I go and do something else. I cant just close it out and come back a few minutes later.
