I think In the note editor (Where you can change Volume, Panning, and note length), THere should be a Set as default button. It gets very annoying to have to change each note individually.
The ‘set as defult’ option you mentioned IS actually there. The box above the instruments in the middle is where you set the defult. Whatever you put there is what every note will come out as, and you can change it if necessary.
How about you can have different defaults for each layer that can avoid the accidental 300% volume on the wrong instrument.
There are many things that could be done that would make note settings less of a hassle. Alas.
i think this is a great idea… how about something that would allow you to select a group of notes and change them at the same time.
