This probably took me a month’s worth of work.
Wow, just awesome. Nice job!
No :S…
The bass is out of tone and the Metal guitar just mustn’t be used as chords
sigh I guess I havent posted enough coments on poeples songs about how much I hate when poeple critisize, might as well tell you guys again. I can imagine that with enough time on notessimo anything is possible but 1 it`s his work and he can do whatever he wants to it and 2 copying a song base is difficult because everything is droning it out. Go make a better version Luchoo if this bothers you soo much.
Hey yellowtail, I dont think you know this, but criticizing the person, helps them fix it. Yes I agree with you about the bass, but hey, since he knows now, he can fix it. Criticism on this thing, is good for people. so if YOU don’t like it. go somewhere else.
He doesnt have to be told what to fix. Its his song, let me change the point of veiw for you. Imagine me going on your songs and telling you what to fix. What if what im telling you to fix is something you did on perpose. Im literaly bossing you around, wouldnt that be anoying? Its worse than just saying your songs suck (which they don`t).
Ok… Yellowtail J44…
just… see which song is the 3rd most viewed song in notessimo… and what says the first comment -.-
@yellowtail J44 If you don’t receive criticism then how will you ever improve? You will always get “Ya nice job” and “cool” all the time. Criticism has helped me immensely because of my lack of musical knowledge. The last song only was as good as it was because of what George said about it. It changed from Minor to Major sounding. Critique is what keeps the musician moving forward. Those who reject critique only move backwards, and us notessimoers who have been here for awhile have all seen this (and i’m pretty sure experienced it too).
tl;dr? accept critique, don’t take it as them telling you off. Take it as a way to improve your song so you can move forward. If you don’t want to change your song, use your knowledge that you have gained for the next one.
But I definitely agree with Luchoo. Despite that month of work, it still has quite a ways to go to truly being a correct cover of Live & Learn.
I can see the work put into it, but sadly just because you put a month worth of work into it doesn’t mean your song will turn out amazing. I wish it worked this way.
But on a positive note Ace you have talent. I can’t wait to see you make more songs.
STOP BEING SO GOD DAMN CRITICAL AND ENJOY THE SONG! >![]()
Although it’s a bit smelly to be doing all this talking about Ace’s song without him contributing to the discussion, I’m pretty sure that if he didn’t want critique he wouldn’t have posted it publicly. That applies to anything. If you don’t want people to say what they think about something you did, don’t show it to them.
And “Well why don’t YOU do it better” is a grade-school level response.
I do agree with Luchoo, but I think it’s partly just a sad inevitability of 2.0’s limited options for a heavy distorted guitar sound. The fender strat is scratchy, the metal guitar is muddy, and the electric guitar is nice but often too soft. However, those are all we’ve got. It might’ve sounded a bit better with more of the fender strat at a lower octave, though. And the bass is definitely out of tune. If those two things could be fixed it’d probably be feature-worthy though. Ace’s stuff in general is pretty top-notch, and you can even see that he’s improved significantly if you look through all his songs.
Yep… now at notessimo we don’t have what we need
Alright stop legthening the battle. I said something and now I regret it because this place is turning into a thread and less of a song. I was defending Ace and now I have to apologize to him and all of you so im sorry. I just had many poeple critisizing my work and, for a little bit, it gave me the impression that I sucked even though I was way ahead of my time.
I agree. This obviously took ALOT of work. Like… a months worth (as stated in the description) just enjoy the nostalgia! (hey! thats my new motto!)
I agree with all of the criticism towards the song. It was a good job, but again, there’s problems with volume throughout the entire song. And yes, metal guitar was NOT the best choice for what it was used for. Well, it wouldn’t be that bad if it were quieter. Protip: If you use the fender strat low enough, it gives a nice distorted song, and another guitar good to use in that same way is Elec. Guitar. But the metal guitar was WAY too loud for me to thoroughly enjoy this. It was accurate though, so I’ll give it a 4/5
Your song is the best I’ve thought. You’re a great musician! Better as me!
But, have you heard about the song Snes Station? Please make it for me?
Ace is the best cover maker from Notessimo ever! Please make F-Zero Mute City Theme for me, Ace!
