I love having Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It’s definetly the best yet, considering all the features that are either new or way updated. I.E. You can make your own levels, There’s an actual story mode that is two-player, and a whole ton of new levels, most of which have incredible art. As for upgrades, Home-run contest is MUCH better, and they took out all of the duplicate characters, Young link, pichu, and dr. mario. My only complaint on this game was that they took out a super poke’mon (Mewtwo) who wasn’t really all that, and replaced him with a non-super poke’mon (Lucario) who is okay. Personally, I would’ve like to have played as Mew-two in this game, and simply upgrade him so he isn’t totally weak. Oh well, most of the problems people say there are with this game are just opinions, like how the members of Star-Fox all have the same smash attack (or brawl, as I like to call it), and how some of the levels are pretty pointless, except for the fact that the game does lag pretty bad on Wi-fi, unless you have a three bar connection. This is definitely the BEST game currently on the wii, and will probably stay there until they replace it with another version. Actually, the only reason I can say it’s the best is that every other game sucks eggs, especially since they came out with Guitar Hero 4 . I think the closest to this game is either Metriod Prime:Trilogy (which you can’t really count since it is actually three games in one) or The Conduit (Which doesn’t have an incredible multiplayer like this one).
those weren’t duplicate; they had different moves and abilities than the others did…and if you think its duplicate, you dont think toon link is a duplicate? Besides I whooped with pichu but not with pikachu in Melee
What are you talking about? Mewtwo is a character you have to know how to use… just like jigglypuff which people usually say is useless… besides Lucario and Mewtwo are basically the same…
I hardly ever have even a two bar connection and it barely lags for me
and you might want to think about making the image in youir sig a little smaller
Good point on toon link being a duplicate, I forgot about that. But most of the characters are completely unique, besides toon link, who I never understood why he was even there. As for melee, every time I played it, and back then I wasn’t experienced (let me give you an example: I didn’t start shielding until about 3 months into having Brawl), every duplicate character was a duplicate. As for Mewtwo, I just think that he’s way cooler than Lucario, and everyone has told me that he was terrible (actually, I’ve never had melee, but I played it quite a bit at my friends house). I know Lucario is good, so if Mewtwo is anything like him, then I would be good with him. So why Lucario? They did the same thing with Roy and Marth. I love Marth, though. And the Lag. Oh the lag. Maybe the reason you never lag is because you always play against random people on the internet, whereas I always play with my friends. I have the exact same connection as you, it seems.

and you know , the “duplicate” characters have different moves and stats no matter how much they look like the origonal…
And I pretty much only play against friends…its possible that my actual internet connection is better then yours not how well the wii is connected ot the internet
Well, yeah. Of course they’re slightly different. But they basically just take the character, change the skin, and make some samall changes, like how easy it is to K/O them, or how quick a certain move is, but That doesn’t warrant making a duplicate character at all, not that I hate them or anything.

My opinion of this has changed drastically since this post about 5-6 months ago. Now I can’t stand how Cap. Falcon and Ganon are so close, and how Fox and Falco are nearly the exact same. Oh well.
well there is wolf…he is different…somewhat. He is more power based and his b-over goes up…which has recovery uses I guess…but other than that not too great, unless your fighting someone whose in the air…

Yes, but I’m so tired of picking Fox (who is my favorite of the three) and someone else picking Falco (who is somehow my second most used character under Marth). Wolf is great, I especially like him for getting the Smash Balls, and for the fact that his Up-B can actually be used as an attack, whereas both Fox and Falco’s has this big red flame around them that alerts your enemies. I also love his side smash and his side-A attacks, because they are both good for damage and knock-back. But Wolf can’t really count because although he has some similarities, such as his deflector shield, he has so many different attacks that he is legitimately a different character, whereas the only reason I choose Fox over Falco is for Fox’s extra recovery.
Edit: My current character is ROB, I love both his ranged attacks and the fact that he is a tank, meaning he can take a hit, yet he still has very quick attacks. I also love that his most powerful moves are all the same in general, he mostly uses his jet power on his under-side to blast you very far. Also, he has the greatest recovery besides Pit.
I found out the awesomeness that is brawl marth…i didn’t like him too much during melee…but with the awesome 18 diferent combos he has in brawl for dancing blade I can see myself using him alot more
I love this game and highly recomend it. The game is very polished and it is challenging and fun. My favorite character would have to be Ike. He has the power to deal damage, and the speed to be quick in his movements.
Some of Ike’s attacks are slow, but his most useful attacks are fairly fast, Ike is one of my favs too
