-Added sheets 56-59 and a repeat of sheets 15 and 16.
-Changed the end of sheet 49 for a better transition.
-Changed the start of sheet 50 for a better transition.
-Extra effects added on sheets 51 and 52.
-Final taiko/timpani added on sheet 53.
16 to 56 transition is still a little abrupt and will probably need fixing.
I’m not entirely sure about the last snare on sheet 59.
8 and a half minute loop oO, this may be the longest loop on Notessimo…
I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be a jerk… but, I don’t like almost any of this.
It sounds SO sporadic.
Wait! While I was writing this measure 253 came. 253-270 I liked.
I can tell you guys were going for something “different” (and Im all game for getting away from generic chord progressions and stuff) but this, IMO was too far.
Sheet 14-16: the drums and glock are so “off beat” I don’t even know what to say. The choice of drum patterns IMO doesn’t fit with the overall “feel” of the song at all.
Oops, forgot to say that in the description section (thought it was there as it was in the PM)…my bad xD
It’s done, just final polishing and edits left.
So 8:26:66.
:3, The community collab takes two of those achievements though…if that counts? Also i can’t remember which one it was, but i know there’s a long collab out there, might be 6-8 minutes.
EDIT: Oh right, that may also be mine (Neoteric Flow with Nuse), i still think there’s one more though.
Sheets 14-16 need to be fixed up for a start, it’s on our to do list.
I’ll probably also go through the song and adjust some of the drumming.
The intentions of it was to (obviously) be a very progressive and moving ambient piece; an experiment at the least.
Just listening to it almost tells a story; tragic, sad and mysterious…it keeps happening over again (hence the loop) when new people enter said depths. (Also kinda aimed in the soundtrack direction as the depths “change”)
The thing that has bugged me the most about this piece is the original drum choice i made, so i may be changing the drums from Bass drum #3 to something more fitting, the rest will stay though.
As for the sporadic thing, it was supposed to change and it does change a lot, perhaps a bit much, but that doesn’t bother some people. My ambient pieces are often structured like this, they systematically change every x amount of sheet…
I’m saying this as i feel you expect this to be a standalone song which is not accompanied by anything, however, it is your opinion and i cannot change that; thank-you for the feedback.
Thanks :3, he’s not hating though.
