The new player

Made a small update to the player, better sound quality, animated GIF background, a “trippy” visualizer (accessible under the “Gear” menu) and performance upgrade.

V2 song in V3 player still aren’t 100% like in the V2 player but I’ll work on it after I post the Beta

Example of a GIF background:

Clear your cache if it doesn’t works.

Great update, Starburst!

On another note, I don’t like that the Snare 4 is so soft compared to the other snares.

Thanks, if you clear your cache I did another update fixing a tiny bit the formula that convert the volume from V2 to V3, however there are still some instruments that are off. I don’t have much time to finetune the V2 soundfont right now but If during Beta you see some parameters of an instruments that should be tweak, you’ll be able to create a patch and send it so that I can add it to the final release.

Nice update.

Trippy doesn’t work if you set it before pressing play. You have to press play, let it load, then select trippy. BTW trippy is really nice looking

Does it have compatibility with BMP files for the background?

Aww, the Bass #1 is shortened again.

I just noticed an odd Tenor Sax glitch. It seems to be a volume problem:

The acoustic guitar is still off key, but I think we’ve already established that…

So I tried the player’s converter out (at least 5 times) and my resulting song was only 4 seconds of notes recorded.

Try selecting the first sheet then use the recorder.

Well, Starburst could lower the pitch of the samples without speeding them up. And if he gave me the samples, I would be 9e+99% willing to do so.

When uploading a song, it would be nice if there was a compatibility list and recomended size for the background.

Also maybe have the GIF run once the song starts, so you can have something like a speaker that denies physics and expands on beats. Although I can see how this wouldn’t work if the user pauses the song or changes the time slider.

Hope that made sense.

I meant the .wav converter. Are you saying there’s a record button somewhere?

Actually, I was confused. I tried using the wav converter before loading the song and after loading the song and both times it only recorded a little bit. I will keep playing around with it though to see if I can find any temporary fixes.

Starburst… could you make there be an extra set of lines in the composer thing so we could do 32nd notes? That would be cool.

(Expanding on that) Starburst should make it that you can adjust the grid marks to whatever you like (maximum 64th notes). If the song you’re working on has a high percentage of quarter notes, you can adjust the grid marks to 1/4 so it makes things easier.

Why not just increase the tempo?

What if you had a song with triplets (common problem)? YOU DIE

Ehh. The EG seems to be softer again.
