The wiki

Okay so I was on the wiki and I click on the how to use the software link and I discovered that no one had made anything regarding it! So I took it into my own hands!

I have just now completed the how to use the software article, so if anyone new comes they can just consult that and get a tutorial from that rather than someone explaining the software to them. It includes pictures that I took, and then had to edit in Paint.NET. (Cropping isn’t hard)

Please tell me if there is something missing from the article so I can be sure to add it into the entry so no one will have to tell beginners.

There’s irony to this by the way.
The irony is, that I can barely do anything good with the program, yet I made the article explaining how to use it. Kind of funny actually, but as I said before; there may be mistakes.

tl;dr?
Summary:
I made the wiki article on how to use the software, go over it to see if I missed anything.

Okay, tomorrow I will add how to save/load and add the title and artist to the song, forgot to add it tonight. Gonna go to bed now, night.

It looks great! But the bass guitar thing is unnecessary.

I thought that the “Placing instruments” section was useful, if only for one thing: it shows new users that the first space on which you can place notes is on the line, not the space between the first two lines. You don’t know how many people I’ve seen make this mistake.

On the other hand, I thought the “How to use the program” section may be unnecessary. Perhaps you may just want to mention that clicking the link above the Widget opens it in its own window.

Aside from that, I noticed a few grammar mistakes (I can fix these if you want me to), but overall it’s a pretty good and helpful guide.

I know, but we shouldn’t focus on one specific instrument.
We could say “To place an instrument, click on an instrument from the box at the bottom. After an instrument has been selected, it can be placed onto the grid, on the vertical lines. The further up it is placed, the higher it will sound. You can continue placing notes on the grid.”

Okay, you’re right I’ll be sure to add some pictures with more instruments

You’re right and when I add some more pictures with different instruments I’ll be sure to make it rather obvious that you can place things on more than just lines.

EDIT: Just added a picture to the wiki and some more text describing that you could place any instrument anywhere on the sheet, hopefully that will be able to clear any confusion that anyone had while reading the wiki.

Nice, maybe I will have to help on that. I love your signiature GIF austin =D

Doesn’t explain Panning well enough.
