Time Signature

If I am composing a song in 3/4, then I cannot use the bar lines as landmarks. That’s the main reason to add a time signature feature. This makes things harder to find, makes progress slower, and will make the composer bored. A song not in 4/4 won’t look right, as the bars are messed up. This is annoying, especially to perfectionists. The cut off measures at the beginning have the same effect, and will need to be fixed too. I predict that adding it won’t be that hard.

Yeah time signatures are one of the big things that Starburst and co. need to add.

By the way, when you have a pickup, there’s a discrepancy between sections. It should be that the song just cuts off at the last beat of the measure, instead of at the end of the measure. But I still think Notessimo is great.

I’ll just assume that you’re giving out about some bug because I cannot be bothered to look up the big words.

I hate it when they do stuff like this-

Discrepancy basically means something is “off”. I also figured out a way to fix the pickup, you just move everything over until everything is nicely aligned.

Ahh. Glad I could help with your discrepancy.

Time signature has been discussed before. I think Starburst has said iy will be included in the final product, but as we all know, it’s not here yet.

I don’t think we’ll be alive for the “final product”.

Anyway do we have to pay?

That is up to Starburst.

…Or is it?

BumBumBum!!!

Yes, a time signature feature would be very useful! Maybe not a completely adjustable setting, but a few presets (preferably, 3/4, 4/4 and 9/8) would do!

I whole-heartedly agree and something that would be even cooler woulbe to be able to choose from ones such as 12/8

when you have a pick-up, there are contradictory elements. There is a reason that song just cuts off the last beat at the end of the measure, rather than measured. But I still think Simon is looking great.

I am noticing similarities.

12/8 = 6/4

Well, technically not, but you could say same difference.

Let’s not get technical…

But 12/8 is more common than 6/4 anyway.

No.

12/8 = Compound quadruple time.
6/4 = Compound duple time.

Compound quadruple time =/= Compound duple time.
