Having a hard time following this. camic sons
EDIT: I can barely hear the Rhodes. Also, I don’t like the way the timpani jumps between the ears in the first sheet. You should add more drums.

Define “following” in this scenario.
Also there is no comic sans on this one, so that people wouldn’t talk about that and instead actually TALK ABOUT THE DANG SONG FOR ONCE.

The timpani in the beginning (to me) seems to be in a 9/4 + 7/4 time signature rather than the intended 4/4 throughout the rest of the song. However, the timpani sounds alright sheet 5 and on once it isn’t as prominent. I am not that great at critiquing so I only have a few things to say:
-The song drags along for most of the song with a new instrument added every few times around. It would be great if you had one of the parts be a louder melody that would change as the other instruments are added in. (The melody is one of the most important parts of a piece, and in order to keep someone listening the whole way through it is necessary.)
-Change it up a little. The ideas present as good but there is no progression. Try adding multiple instruments at once to avoid spending 3 minutes to get where you want, and then change the chord progression, melody, bass (timpani), or add percussion or anything else that can make something progressive and interesting.

  1. The only real reason i that I didn’t add more than one instrument at a time was that it seemed like too big of a jump. I get what you mean, I just couldn’'t make it fit more.
  2. Really? The Timpani is the issue? I’m not great with time signature TBH, but the only instrument i assumed people would single out was the chime. I get how it would be better as a background instrument, rather than being the main part of it. However, It was how I started the song and I have a lack of ways to start the song W/o it.
  3. Yes, the song progression is slow. I will try to fix that later on.
Thank you for your feedback

REMOVE THAT FUCKING TUBULAR BELL

Ah. It does piss someone else off. I’ll just upload it W/o that. I actually said thats what I assumed people would dislike in my previous comment…

mm. Well the rhodes was kind of out of place, so i left it without increasing the volume to allow it to stay hidden. It’s also a quiet instrument. However, it seems like the tubular bells were concealing it the most. If i listen to it, the rhodes seems to cover up the Kalimba, so I’m not sure. Was this after I updated it or before?
As for the timpani, that was a last-minute change which is why its only in the first one. in later versions, It will be reduced to 50% pan, but not removed because I still think it’s cool. (I also will assume that you have earbuds or a headset of some sort)
