This thread is to the Songs sub-forum as the “Talk about stuff” thread is to the Off-Topic General sub-forum.
Maybe if they don’t finish and post it here, they’re seeing what people think of it and get feed back on how it could be revised, just as a piece of writing. Like what the composer should add, change, or delete. Got it?
Wow. You guys take everything wayyyy too seriously. I’m not mad or anything (Although Anthony sure is). But really, I just had an opinion and stated it. If I’m not entitled to my own opinions about anything, then let me point out that we live in USA, where freedom of speech laws allow me to say what I want. I will never allow myself to be provoked into swearing by another person. That just proves I have a lot more control over you than yourself. Swear about your own songs, swear about this stupid war we’re fighting in Afgan that’s tearing familys apart, swear about how bad 1337 chat speak really is, but never swear because another person provoked it.
Sorry to double post, but while everyone is looking at this thread, I’ve posted a request on the request page that is NOT a song. I was wondering If I should release my own Song Thread with two of my songs: MoodChanger and FourShadow, plus Free Bird once I finish it, plus another song I want to be a suprise. I will do this if I never recieve a reply, so be warned.

Second, when you registered for this forum there was no mention of the U.S. Constitution. You do not have those implicit rights on this site; you have these explicit guidelines. You’ll find this to be true elsewhere on the net as well.

Okay, Your own songs means your own songs, and thats not provoked in any way at all. The war in Afgan has people dieing on each side, I wonder how their families feel, and about half the people here have a sig that talks about 1337 chat speak in it. None of those are provoked directly by another person. I never said anything about a group. He was not stating an opinion, he was attacking me through the internet. He told me I was trolling. That is NOT an opinion. I do understand that I can’t make my own thread yet, but when am I on here long enough to make one? A month? A year? I don’t believe it should be based on how long I’ve been here but by how talented I am. (This was stated by another Mod, DarkDan I think, in the annoucnments for the song thread.) I’ll have you know I’ve been playing this game for 6 months, I just now got around to registering. Plus, I’ve already got more posts than some people that have been on for months! Seriously. Oh! I forgot to address the freedom of speech. I get all of those rules, and have read them before posting. My post is clearly within the rules, and therefore I still have my freedom to say what I want within those rules. As for “this thread is stupid,” I’ve seen much worse posted on this thread, and I didn’t even cuss. Also, I’ve seen quite a lot of spamming, and no-one ever says anything about that! Like this:

I think the only things you got out of my second response were the swear words. I’ll clean that up a bit:
1.YOU (the composer) are in charge of whether or not to post your unfinished piece in this thread.

Just because you posted your unfinished piece in this thread, doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to finish it later. Notice the “demo” part on the thread title?

There’s nothing bad about posting your unfinished songs in this thread. I didn’t see anything on the Forum Guidelines that said, “only finished compositions are allowed.”
This thread does not go against the Forum Rules. So no, it should not be deleted or locked.
