V4 Shortcuts

Eventually you’ll be able to customize the mapping. Please let me know of any shortcuts you’d like to see or any that should be tweaked!

Back in V3, users were able to move selected instruments around the staff with the arrow keys. You think you could provide an option for that?

Of course! Completely forgot about this one, I’ll work on it this weekend

Can’t seem to find a way to edit the notes length to a custom size or placement mainly for placing triplet notes am i just missing something?

Note length can also be changed using the touch tool to drag the end of the note.
Placing triplet involves subdividing into three equal parts. This can be done by selecting three equal length side by side notes and compressing them into space of two.
Keep in mind, V4 audio system divides notes into 1/128th notes instead of 44100 audio samples so triplets aren’t as precise as V3 but the difference is only like 5ms at 125bpm so it should sound fine.

Thanks for that sure i’ll get used to it soon

Ctrl+A for “Select All Notes on Visible Layers” would be nice. Also bring back the Picker tool please.

I didn’t think it would be necessary since the “Touch” tool does effectively work as the “Picker” tool, albeit a little bit differently but adding it wouldn’t take much time!

Option to merge two or more sheets together into one

I could add that as an option to the “dropdown” menu when selecting multiple sheets:

“Merge” which would create a new sheet which is a combination of all the sheets.

Maybe shift click to select multiple to merge in case a user doesn’t want to merge all?

That’s how the dropdown menu options work already.

WASD to pan the camera feels redundant - RMB+drag covers this tool perfectly fine.
Shift-modifier shortcuts (namely the tool shortcuts) feel inconsistent as most of the keys sit too far away from LShift.
Upon reviewing the command list, I just realized Ctrl+V doesn’t do anything. That’s like the go-to input for loading the last selection in V3.
