Uh-oh. There are two possible cases in my area, one of them being at my school. Everyone is freaking out!

I really don’t see what the big deal is. The typical flu causes, on average, about 100 deaths a day. That seems like a bigger problem than swine influenza A.

Hey now, we only have 2 reported cases. Just make sure she doesn’t work in Mexico. Of course it really doesn’t matter. The reports of 158 deaths of the swine flu aka h1n1 flu as the congress now calls it is not true anyway. Sure 158 people died of the flu down there, but I bet you didn’t know only 8 of them were tested as the “swine flu.” It’s really not a big deal. As long as you treat it right away it’ll be fine. It’s just like the bird flu, it’ll pass on and be forgotten again. Next year it’ll be the Aardvark flu or unicorn flu or something ridiculous like that.

FIrst: the swine flu has absolutely nothing to do with pigs. That’s why I prefer to use it’s proper name: H1N1 influenza A

actually it kinda does have to do with pigs. pigs were dying from it first then humans caught it. Sure the pigs didn’t “create” the flu, but we noticed the particular bacteria in pigs first, hence the name “swine flu.” Either way, I’m really not concerned
