Final Fantasy

Honestly what is the problem here. There’s no doubt that Scourge’s song isn’t good, even if it is unaccurate. Jolla, there was no need to overact to Scourge’s post and ix, there was no need to extend the overreaction.

sorry, I guess I over reacted, but I hate when people insult a song for no reason.

:expressionless:

Honestly, guys, I thought we were over this.

Unless the comments were edited by a mod, I don’t see any overreactions by anyone (except the opening insults towards the song)

Guys, continue this and we will lock this thread for a temporary time and remove all necessary comments.

I know this has been done before once, but i thought i could improve it.

i’m open to help, but not critisism (that means you j-bollathan)

Oh great, now everyone will think criticism is terrible for you!

You know what it is? It’s to point out any flaws you may have missed, allowing you to fix them for next time. Since when was that a bad thing?

This.

THIS

This wins and should be placed in someone’s sig.

Help = Critisism

Exactly. Also critisism can be positive too.

That song was good, Flip. I was gonna ask if everyone was gonna get back on topic now, but someone would get after me and ask “Since when are you good and trying to be on topic?” and other shit.

I was wondering if we could also do songs from other games by Square Enix.

So I was continuing with The Extreme, but then I thought it would be a good idea to run CCleaner for the first time in months. Little did I realise that this would delete my stored Notessimo files.
So now I have to continue from the last version I posted, and I did loads of difficult work since then. Seriously don’t know if I can be bothered.

FML.

Make sure to check
notessimo.net
and
www.notessimo.net.

Just in case it’s still there.

I think you should continue it though … you can try to improve and make it better than the lost version.

Yeah, I tried that, even tried file recovery to get back the deleted files, but nothing works. I guess this’ll teach me to publish things frequently so there’s an online version too.

I GOT IT BACK! How? By being a fucking wizard, that’s how.

To avoid any further stress, here it is as it stands now.

I’m currently redesigning the lead guitar instruments in the second half of sheet 5 (which is panned right, where the other is panned left). Reason? As it was before, when it comes up again in sheet 8, it ended up sounding too similar to the left-panned guitars. The Acoustic Guitar gives a result closer to what I want (please listen to the original to get an idea for the difference I’m going for; basically the right-panned instrument has a much sharper attack). However, I’m really unsure whether I actually like it at the moment.

I also tried changing the left-panned guitars instead, designing it around String #3 to give it a softer attack, and that sounded really good in sheet 8, though I’m not sure it works so well in sheet 5. Here’s that version roughed out, too, for comparison (I haven’t changed the instrument where it recurs in sheet 6).

Any advice from those more experienced in mixing instruments? I’m just kinda taking stabs in the dark here, I really don’t know which ones actually mesh well. Any other comments appreciated, too.

[EDIT] Also, here is the current version with neither of those two instruments changed, just to illustrate the problem in sheet 8.

[EDIT2] Finally found an instrument combination for the right-lead (as I will now refer to it) that I don’t think I hate. Might still do some tweaking of volumes in the future, but I think this is about as good as I can get it. Editing here without making a new post since I want it here for safety, but don’t think it merits bumping the thread.

The next section’s really intense! Also it has triplets. Gonna be tricky.

That was incredible, Jolla! What a great song. Should be featured.
I’m sorry about the issues though. I only have one ear-phone so I don’t think I’d be of much use.

I want this question answered

It would probably go in “Video Games”. (NOT THE TOPIC)
