Homework help

not fair I hated kindergarten…

and what if your homework is to win the game…

Trig… so take your triangle

If you want me to, I could explain the law of sine and cosine… but if your just trying to find a right triangle…

you use sine, cosine and tangent on it…

each 1 has a formula:

  • The sine function (sin), defined as the ratio of the side opposite the angle to the hypotenuse.
  • The cosine function (cos), defined as the ratio of the adjacent leg to the hypotenuse.
  • The tangent function (tan), defined as the ratio of the opposite leg to the adjacent leg.

The hypotenuse is the side opposite to the 90 degree angle in a right triangle; it is the longest side of the triangle, and one of the two sides adjacent to angle A. The adjacent leg is the other side that is adjacent to angle A. The opposite side is the side that is opposite to angle A. The terms perpendicular and base are sometimes used for the opposite and adjacent sides respectively. Many people find it easy to remember what sides of the right triangle are equal to sine, cosine, or tangent, by memorizing the word SOH-CAH-TOA.

so umm… lets say you take a side with 30 degree angle, and you know that the hypotenuse is 10. you have to put it into an equation. so sine of 30 degrees (written as sin930) = x/10. its all equations, you see. you want to make it equal to x, though so multiply both sides by 10. so 10* sin(30= x all you have to do is put that into a calculator (do you have a TI?). if you put 10* sin(30 (make sure its in degree mode!) it will come out to 5. that’s the side that you didn’t know!.

now lets say you knew the sides of the triangle but not the angle hypotenuse=10 and side a is 5, so you would do the inverse of what ever trig equation you needed. so the inverse of sine, and the 2 sides put into the ratio, is equal to: sin^-1(5/10= 30. 30 is the angle you needed.

I have a question. What does “HYP” do? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

it makes you ask hypo for SECRET MOD POWAS

oh I get trig… Just not that problem… I just HATE trig. I got a 105 on the test for it…

how many people passed it? only 5 passed it my class and did you have to do law of sine and cosine? I hate those.

And the best thing about my homework tonight? ll the questions are odd, so all the answers are in the back can someone press the “that was easy” button?

I’m ADDICTED to abusing the easy button.

this was to hide my jealousy… but I can hide it no longer… Why didn’t I get a 105 on my test D: If you guys had law of sine and cosine my title as smartest person in the world is gone

My brain hurts…

I hope your head doesn’t asplode for the 3rd time in 1 year.

I think I’ll be fine… for now. But that seriously hurts.

What happened? head ache or is your homework like that biology test that everyone failed?

Homework, ahaha you’re funny, I don’t do that. XD In case you didn’t notice my grades lol.
I forget why it blew up the last 2 times though…

DD messed with your “you’re” pet peeve, and then I had a grammar face plant… which wasn’t on purpose, I promise!

Ah, of course.

Anyways, let’s get this back on topic…

yeah… heh heh… How does homework?.. Those people are such losers… eats homework before KD sees I’m actually doing it

What I need is someone to teach me how to study… I really don’t know how, and I bet I’ll need it… someday… probably college.

Studying… I actually do that sometimes. Doesn’t help when I have my laptop with Facebook and MSN open though.

It doesn’t help when I have notessimo open… good thing I don’t have a test tomorrow >

I have a math ans sci test tomorrow.

Ahh all these American people and their grades and mid-terms and scores over 100% - AHH!!
