meh most rap stuff is about sex nowadays but you have to listen to the lyrics to actually tell … really its not that bad…(or does “hit music” not count as rap?)
Like I said before, I listen to all music… except for that screamo not music stuff lolz
and like I said before, I never repeat myself
There was this one really poor black kid I knew, almost as poor as me. His parents separated when he was 2, his dad walked out on him and his mom expired from cancer, he was raised by his grandparents. In school he failed alot of classes and did alot of drugs after school. He was hopeless. He became president.
Okay, I hate rap. i do however hold a reservation for MC Hammer, because the dude just rocks. As for Rock-Rap, I believe that Linkin Park is the best band of the new millenium and for R/B i like Chris Brown. That’s about it for me though.
Lots of hate in here, maybe you guys should try a music appreciation class. for rap or something.
Seriously, though, I disn’t like the genre much either, but I never gave it the chance, like most of the people in here, when I was younger I just brushed it off and ignored it because I thought it was cool to hate, or something equally stupid. But I’m starting to dig it now, sticking to one genre gets boring, I like to hop around and try and experience everything from Coltrane to MF DOOM. (who is very good btw, if you are iffy about rap music try listening to some MF DOOM)
Rap CAN be good, but it usually isn’t. “not afraid” by eminem is pretty good during the chorus. Mainly becuase they actually put a FREAKING MELODY LINE.
