Not sure if it’s right to post it here, but since it’s a cover of a notessimo song I decided to post this to my thread. Thoughts?

Biggest thing is the melody isn’t distinguished enough. (I heard more of the Chord part…)
Even though this is a cover, it’s a remix as well. I would have loved to hear a harmony part of some sort, but it doesn’t matter that much.
The drums were all good, but I still didn’t like that fast snare part. Sadsad.
To be honest I don’t have your problem hearing the lead during the chorus, mostly because when you are working with triangle, square and saw waveforms, you have the punchiest sound possible from a single waveform (what gives an instrument “punch” is how well it cuts through the entire song, and the 4 basic waveforms (sine, triangle, square, and saw) do this better than any other waveforms. One of my personal pleasures in making this song was having such clarity from all the instruments. Because of the sidechain, I have clear kick and snare hits, and because I used the cardinal waveforms, the bass, lead, second lead, and pad are all clear without fighting each other for the top position.
Also I wasn’t trying to change too much, otherwise I couldn’t called it a mix. A mix (to my knowledge) is a cross between a remix and a cover, where all you do is change the genre. Even though I added a few things and changes a few things around (such as the key change), for the most part I left the song untouched. I don’t think I could have improved upon the song by adding anything else, so I disagree there as well.
And also I loved the drum solo, it really cut the repetitive nature of house music down. It fit really well into the mix and, despite no changes from me, sounded great imo.
My only problem with this song is how, because of the pad, the chorus really outshines the rest of the track. I mean, it is supposed to, but it does it a little too well for my taste, mostly because the bits in between can’t really be called verses, only breaks. It is a small flaw compared to the results.
