On my Pearl, I finally got my starter to lvl 100. It’s the Torterra that I picked 3 1/2 years ago(then Turtwig), and he’s now level 100. No Rare Candies, which is why I find it such an accomplishment. Well, for me anyway. Now I’m training my first EV trained Poke on SS. It’s a Starmie that’s a timid nature (which is good) with Surf/Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Recover and 252 SpA/252 SpD/4 Spe.
You have Pearl? You’re the first guy (except me) I know who has it. I picked it because I knew it would be unpopular and therefore have an advantage with the Pearl-only stuff. As for the rest of your post, .
IT feels lika an accomplishment getting up to level 100, its fun when you can kill people with one hit, and it prepares you for insanely hard boss battles Though Pokemon doesn’t have these, where hbieng level 100 makes the boss laugh at your attempt, which he precedes to kill you in one hit with his sword.
Well what I was talking about was a glitch in the older games, if you had a charizard as your starter and you went through the elite four and trained it to lvl 100, it would mess up when you tried to save and you’d come back with it at lvl 96 again.
As for my current lv 100 team, I didn’t really train them. I had an Action Replay, which only lasted 3 months before it quit completely, and I hacked them all XD. Good times…
I know a guy who claims to have them all. He’s not lying, but I don’t think that they’re legit Pokes. The Shiny Arceus and the Shiny Rayquaza gave it away.
Good luck man! Hope you win, I love the red battle… since he’s the most powerful AI trainer in existance (well except i think in R/S/E you get yourself copied or something like that… but that really doesnt count IMO)
I know that battle theme is epic, it brings back memories of my lvl 81 Typhlosion battling his Espeon. Sadly, my battery in the game died like 3 years later, and it wouldn’t save, so I sold it to Game Stop for like $12 (when they actually gave a decent pay out for used items)
To counter the problem, I tried leaving it in the SP and having it charge the whole time. I would never take it out of the Game Boy. I thought it was foolproof…until I accidentally kicked it (just a little) and the game came loose. I lost 36 hours of playtime, but I was only in Union Cave lol.
