Anyone else?
It’s not what I’d call a feature-worthy song, but I will share some of the points I liked and disliked.
Pros:
-Extremely good melody writing in this song.
-The bass adds structure while maintaining the fun nature of the song.
-The drumming may be simple, but it fits very well.
-More important than any other point, I think you had fun making this song.
Cons:
-It was a bit empty.
-The song is very random. That may fit into the genre better, but it’s still a con for me.
-It’s short. 2 minutes is my absolute minimum on any song
-Because it is so short, it feels like a long solo, but with no song to transition into it. That idea does leave some potential.
-I felt the ending didn’t fit too well.
Overall, it’s a fun song that doesn’t try to prove anything. It is a bit lacking but it does show great improvement on the melody side of songs, especially for you QVX.
I don’t know, the notes just don’t compliment each other. Seems like slightly random notes. But otherwise it was good.

Could you specify which parts exactly? There are a couple parts that i know about, i’m just curious to see which bits you noticed…
Also, in what way do they not compliment each other (try explaining?)
Mainly it was that half the song seemed to be in Eb major, when the real key was G minor.
A lot of times the melody is trying to play one key while the bass is trying to play another, which doesn’t work well.
You seem to be trying to use chord progressions. The one you have seems to be mainly Emaj and Gmin with some Bbmaj (or VI and i and III). This works terribly. Emaj shouldn’t go to Gmin. Also because you have such a limited progression (mainly alternating) the song just seems to be going nowhere.
I know you probably don’t understand any of this. But I don’t know how to explain it without theory.
Also the melodies and bass are still very good. I just don’t think they harmonized well.
Ohk…
Yup…
there were some pretty good beats in there, some of them were kinda strange and would be hard to write riffs over, but because they were the only part they had to be like that, so they could be the lead part instead of rhythm.
The thread has now been updated and reconstructed, i plan on keeping this up to date from now on.
