Wow QVX, y ou r s ng w as v ry
That says something…but i don’t know what…
just answer these couple questions…
And Fire…did that actually happen or was that what you were thinking when you heard it?
and also…a sentence doesn’t finish in very XD
Haha writing that guitar riff must’ve taken ages. As always, I could have just listened to the drum track by itself and been happy, thank you QVX.
Note: When you have DC post on one of your own songs, you don’t question it.
That was unexpectedly awesome. Had a lot of good novelty factor, too
Very ?, i’d say it seemed a bit ?, though it seems like you could’ve explored more uses with other instruments…thanks for the advice
I am honored that you have posted on my thread =)…straight away i saw the name and was like…HOLY SH…
I know right XD, if you search “Wanted” by QVX 797 you will see what it was originally…SOOOOOO lucky i changed it (i had saved the beat ages ago which is why the riff in wanted is crap XD) and it did take a while lol
Fair enough XD
Thank you =D it was something extremely different and unexpected…and when i made the song i had a picture of some sort of machine in my head that was glitching…and resetting when it gets too glitchy…dont ask where i get these ideas from…XD
I will publish “Drowning” very soon…right now i can’t as everything on my computer is being copied to my new laptop…
DC was saying avant-garde for the first question mark of yours
avant-garde is experimental
Well… i would never have guessed that =P
Thanks lol.
Okay so this has the same problem as Kamarai’s newest song. It’s not really a song. It sounds more like a great prelude for a faster metal song if you ask me.
The drumming is all what you would expect from an intro. I heard the Toms come in and i was like “oh snap get to hear more awesome drumming for a metal song” and while there were snare hits, they didn’t quite feel right afterwards. By sheet 15 I got bored of what I perceived to be an extended intro for a fast metal song, and once I realized that this was the song i was rather let down…There aren’t even any chords and the acoustic, metal and strings all just continue on in their lazy riff the entire song. I say lazy only because it was 3 minutes of it. However In the beginning it was perfectly ominous without the metal guitar to make me feel the metal coming on.
What i think this song should be is a part 1. Maybe make it shorter and write a new song that would fit into the ending of this song. WITH EPIC DRUMMING.
Yeah I agree with Star it just kinda droned on. You’d expect a drowning to be dramatic, wouldn’t you? Still good though.
Its funny, 'cause thats what i planned it to be when i had just started it…i just couldn’t actually do it…but hey, ill edit it and republish it…
Thank-you for the feedback.
NO
MAKE A DROWNING PART 2
WITH EPIC DRUMMING
is scared i can’t think of a way to do it…i need inspiration…XD
I’d just like to say…you are probably going to love the collab i’m making with ix…
The wait is over, the 5 minute, heavy metal epic is finished!!
REVOCATION OF SELF!! by ixsetf and QVX 797
P.S. @Starwars [XD] heres some epic drumming for you XD
Wow…that was insane.
Loved the intro, loved the atmosphere, even loved the solo.
Only problems I see are the chorus and outro. The chorus riff is amazing for this song, it slows down without losing power and is epic enough that I’d love to hear it a ton. But the drumming…everywhere else I loved the drumming to death, but the chorus sounded underdeveloped because of the drums alone.
Overall, not bad for a metal piece, I’d give, hmm…3.7/5? Yeah, that sounds about right. Btw, the off-tempo parts were incredible. The only reason I don’t like the outro is because it was progressive, whereas the rest of the song was instantaneous (as all metal should be).
the only review? so far and only 8 listens? I think some of the previews got more than that.
Thursdays Aren’t very productive, it seems. I read an article today saying tweeter is most used on Wednesday. Try then.
I thought it was good. 4/5
Okay well. I liked it, alot.
But I have to agree with Star about the chorus. It seems like you guys threw that together quickly, while the rest it seemed like you guys put your blood, sweat, and tears into.
I didn’t like the outro especially since it was the chorus slowly fading out instrument by instrument… but the fender didnt sound too bad.
Druming +2.5
Everything Else except Chorus +2.5
Chorus and Outro -.8
GRAND TOTAL- 4.2/5
(Star I think 3.7 is to harsh… unless your on a scale of 4 LOL)

Though that is actually the opposite of what starwars does.
Seriously, that quote at the top (after being slightly modified) could easily be a conversation between me and star:
Me:Why do you have to be so critical?
Star:I’m a critic!
Me: But your supposed to rate songs on a scale from “good” to “excellent”!
Star:What if I don’t like something about it?
Me:That’s what “good” is for.
Actually I’m on a scale based on 4.5 being the best. 3.7 is decent but has something that needs work.
