Your songs are… ok? I know they’re better than anything I could ever pull off.
Your new song is good! Some nice melodies there. But the F in measure 144 didn’t really fit in though. Also the thing at the very very end was … oh never mind. It also seemed a bit empty, it was only really one instrument and drums. But still, a great improvement.
It was supposed to be like a simplistic song…which included my first real chords XD
Heh it got stuck in my head today.
DoooooooDoDoDoDooooDooooDoooooooo…
Lol it was doing that to me before i published…
Oh, btw i added 2 new versions of ataraxia (extended and slow)
Check the first page for them
I prefer the extended version to the slow one!
Yeah, the slow one sounded good at the time…not so much anymore…
Anyway… NEW SONG!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Creeping
You forgot the BOOM at the end.
(Sorry, I had to.)
That was good QV, just really repetitive.
Yeah…
Dammit i need inspiration, my songs have no variation…
…Except for one of my newer songs >=P
Inspiration? c:
Sort through my experimentals!
You’re sure to find some inspiration there…
And a nice, little improvement on Ataraxia’s conclusion!
I couldn’t imagine it slower… ^^;;
Thank you Karo
Its kinda funny how i got the inspiration though…one of the song names helped me…which i then changed into something else XD
Well…i’m in the process of making 12 songs…but when they’re done…i’m probably going to quit…
I’ve come to the obvious realization that my songs suck, and they always will because of one thing…I still don’t know how to go about making a freaking melody…and without that…theres no inspiration, and nowhere to go.
After listening to a couple other songs…i am also seeing that there are at least 2 new people (2 months at the most) are getting featured songs already…obviously i’m not getting anywhere, and my last decent song (by myself) was “The Shadows” (which was how long ago?)…
I don’t think anyone would understand how its so hard for me though…I’ve been making songs, by making random patterns and/or placing notes randomly all over the flipping place and adjusting them by what i hear…anyone noticed that yet?, yeah thats right…my songs are random crappy melodies mixed with…well…rather crap drumming that occasionally covers it up. -.-
Yeah, i know my songs are sh*t so i’m sparing you the time of listening to them
And anyway…why am i posting this? 2-3 people max are going to read it…
Come on, there’s no need to be sad on Christmas! ; A;
Let’s make this clear: as long as you try, your songs won’t suck. In fact, from your efforts alone, you easily surpass a titanic portion of the crap that litters the Browse section. Maybe you just need a little break from it all; Notessimo can get to your head at times. Or maybe you want to pursue something else that you’re skilled at.
All I know for certain is that, if you leave, your presence will be missed.
However, there is nothing we can do to prevent you from leaving. It’s all up to you now.
P.S. Can’t wait to hear those twelve songs of yours… c:

Well if you really want to leave, I can’t stop you. But times change … maybe you’ll find something else you’ll enjoy, or maybe you’ll find in a few years you’re really good at making melodies again … but I hope you do what’s best for you anyway for now, and you know that your songs don’t suck, you’re better than most people out there but with a few things holding you back. Good look with your final songs and Happy Christmahanakwanzika!
I felt this way and almost posted something very similar, but then I realized something, the mods suck, the old members who judge how good your songs are, suck. I apologize to any mods, but listen. Roast has a very high bias on personality, and values covers way to highly. The mods obviously put themselves higher on the list, and they self justify and put down all others who are not part of their circle. You should be happy. You have no covers, the other people who have made only covers and a few original songs are fairy comparable to you. What I would recommend to you is to look up very basic chord structure, triads, inversions, and whether they are Major, Minor, Diminished and Augmented. You need to look up major and minor keys. If you know what these things are, it is very easy to make a melody. Just use notes from your “implied chord” and play them in ways you think are interesting. As you get better you can break these rules but if you stay within them you can make a song that is at least decent. You have more talent than I do here. My talent is with the Metal Guitar, yours is with the drums. At least with you the Notessimo instrument you are good with doesn’t suck. My songs were as bad as yours in the beginning, but then I looked up basic music theory and I got better.
My songs are like that… Its just me messing around with random crap.
Notessimo is more of a hobby/passtime ![]()
EDIT: don’t be another unknowned… and go all emo on us
I completely agree. Notessimo is just a fun little thing to do when you’re bored. Do you know why there are so many bad songs in the Browse section? Because the authors just had fun making their own music.
What did Unk do? When was this?
QVX… The Notessimo community is not very good… we all can compose songs, but we do not like each other, but this is not as important as the fact that you have something to gain from this, and that you have the talent required to become a professional drummer in a band. You also can learn it’s not so hard as it seems, but a little music theory is important.
Notessimo can be something to do when you are bored but if you want them to be good I can teach you the theory of making songs.
first choose your key.
You can find a list of the basic keys on wikipedia
The next step is choosing your chords
The basic chords can be written as numbers.
for a major scale
1 = major
2 = minor
3 = major
4 = minor
5 = major
6 = minor
7 = diminished
In the minor key it is different
1 = minor
2 = diminished
3 = major
4 = minor
5 = major
6 = minor
7 = major
Major = Strong, happy ect.
Minor = Weak, sad ect
diminished = Bad sounding, dark, angry ect.
I can give you the lists for the other scales but only if you will stay
then it is as easy as choosing numbers between 1 and 3.
1 represents the root note of the chord 2 the middle note, and three the top.
I can write alot of my riffs this way, like the one from the beginning on Vultus Amoveo
1(31213121) 7(31213121) 5(31213121) 3(31213121)
use this form and then your riffs will improve.
As you become skilled with it move to a more free style.
