why shouldn’t those songs deserve the third best thing on this site, considering this is a small community. Also did you notice that Most of the way that we can just settle an argument over this is that we come up with a basic literal word by word definition of a feature worthy song (I just want this as help for my arguments).

I am getting there George. After some long thought out conversations on skype Star (and a little bit of me) had hatched an idea (yes I am completely wrong and know realize the error behind the previous arguments). To start with a basis for the idea, we thought long and hard and concluded that there are 2 sides of people in the feature section. On one side there are the less critical people who are more than willing to get a song featured and on the other there are the more critical people who only want some of the best songs to be featured. With stars current system it benefited the less critical people more than the others. So Star came up with an idea to start a thread in the news section (so it appears on the front page). In this thread it will have one song in which people will vote upon using polls and the following scale.

ok (2)
good (3)
great (4)
excellent (5)
(note if you want the scale to be different then tell us), the reason we are using numbers is so that we can get an average for the votes. This average will better compensate for both sides of notessimo. Then we will feature this song depending on if it can reach a certain average (not set in stone on what average). Now for the next problem of who handles all of this and manages the requests for the feature. Ever so kindly star volunteered to handle all of this (unless he has to leave somewhere for some period of time). So the requests will be sent to star via PM. Also, every song needs a deadline which as of now is undetermined (which will be easy to set because polls have an end time), and everyone will have one vote (common sense). As far as numbers of songs you can have from one user, that is still in debate for this thread, but we have decided that you cannot request a song that is older than the most previously featured song. As for the rest its all up for debate, so any arguments or suggestions in accordance to this idea would be appreciated.

I find that very funny coming from you TFB, (also noting that Nuse thinks its one of my best songs and Guitarskills put it up on the feature thread) that you dont like this song.
I also find you one of the composers on Notessimo to use dissonance in their songs alot. Again, I say, I find that very funny coming from you…

Well if you want my opinion I would have to disagree as well, but for different reasons.
I do agree with TFB, there are parts in the song that really make me cringe from the dissonance, and I am one of the least theory-savvy users on notessimo (my point being that even without a real grasp on theory, I could hear it, which makes it a bit worse). However this is only present in a few key places for me (again I have to agree with TFB, the quieter piano is just counter-intuitive).
But the main reason I would vote against this is because it shows the same problem Karo had when he/she ( ) first came on here. You and Karo both have such a distinctive style, and while that makes it easy to distinguish your songs, it also hurts your songs. Individually your songs are great. You produce them quickly but without a loss of quality, and while there is room for improvement, there are only nit-picky things to be said about it. But if you listen to them as a whole, the similarities between them, which only exist because they are written by you, really show. They have become extremely predictable, and therefore stale and repetitive.
One of the roots of this problem is the fact that you only use one genre. I feel that it really is a good idea to expand your field of interest, it can lead to interesting outcomes. You’ve already started this path, as I can easily see with this song, it has a more rock-type drum beat than a typical marching snare. This is a good way to experiment without losing the familiar territory of the orchestral genre that you like, genres are completely inter-mixable. Incorporate more elements of rock or techno into your orchestral songs, it really should produce some interesting sounds and riffs and can enhance your listener’s experience. I’m not saying abandon orchestra for some other genre, but at least experiment with all the different genres, it can really be helpful when mastering the software.
I know star wars, I have tried for techno, but dosent work out to great. I WOULD LOVE TO DO A COLAB, in the techno sorta’ direction, WITH SOMEONE THOUGH hint hint.
Sorry its just I realy want to try a colab with one of the beter members here. Im alright by myself, but as you say, most of my songs sound the same; I think a good colab with a good composer would help me alot…
I have had songs in the colab thread for almost a month, most are orchestral , and no one has said a thing. I want to do a techno colab, I know im supposed to say this in the “colab” thread but no one is ever there!
