ill state my opinion on features once again, songs that are featured are featured for a reason, and should remain so. That’s like giving someone a trophy, and since a week passed, take it away.

No I’m saying that is it a good idea if you can only nominate a song made less than a week ago.

And well what you are saying, if you want to give someone a trophy make another song list, but “featured” means something highlighted, and you can’t really have lots of highlighted songs. You can still say they’re a “past featured song” or something. It’s just that when you see say “featured products” from a shop it’s a list of popular and new products, not hundreds of products that were popular from three years ago. But I guess you’re the mod so I shouldn’t be arguing.

The definition of featured= on display, current, new, etc. Your post would make sense if instead of “Featured songs” it would be “Critically acclaimed songs”. If it was “Critically Acclaimed songs” then it would be the same as giving someone a trophy.

The featured songs page is basically the equivalent of the front windows of a clothing outlet. You’d design some new clothes and the store manager would be like “lol this is going on display”. You should be aware that a week later the manager would say something along the lines of “lol this out of style now MAKE NEW STUFF”. This is the part where you realize that your old clothes are out of style and is now your duty to create more.

But again, I’m not a mod so my opinion doesn’t matter.
