I donāt see what the problem is. Living things adapt to their environment, thatās a fact. For instance, the walrus has a thick layer of blubber under the skin, they have little external appendages which means a decreased surface area, they huddle during the winter etc.
Yes, true, itās just that the word āadaptā has several meanings. For example, if I put on a coat, you could technically say that I adapted to the environment, while the same exact word is used to talk about a vague process over 20 generations about the development of some random factor of life, which has yet to be proven to be true.
Thatās irrelevant, weāre both talking about the same meaning.
It is impossible to say for 100% if itās ātrueā or āfalseā. But there is so much evidence for it, it is regarded as true. I donāt see how you could be arguing against it if you arenāt aware of the mountains of evidence supporting it.
